Football Boots

Hahah Ret Kit very soon very soon.. i am just working on my plan to become the new Nike Football president haha!!! free boots on the house!!

@NEO.. yup we have some specialist soccer stores in london! you can find almost anything you are looking for!

Nike Town London, has a football section (closed at the moment as i suspect that they are working on a new concept to showcase the mvivs and the untouchables)... at the front of the store on a huge window is no other than Cronaldo... they are currently displaying the new Nike kits( for those interested, a few boots are on sale... like the argon vapors for 95 pounds....

However one thing they lack is product knowledege.. i wish i could meet a rep in there or even Andy caine/Leo sandino tel them to run some events where Nike players meet the fans!!!

My ultimate dream is still to watch a boot being made from scratch !!!

@Phrase.. this one is for you - http://www.footy-boots.com/nike-mercurial-vapor-4-speed-test/

Has any boot lovers here seen Ronaldo's 10th Anniversary R9 Mercurial boot? They made in exactly like the first mercurial with the current technology.

Anyways,I have seen Clint Dempsey of Fulham wearing the carbon Mvs in a match before the vapor 4 was released...Cristiano Ronaldo was also seen wearing them in training before switching them to the orange ones..

Yeah phrase... the birth of the vapors... they were giving an animated book of all the goals Big ron scored with the boot, when you buy the boot!!

Oh Dempsey in Carbon vapors.... nice

My Boots, F-50's are the best boots. Perfect.
Vapours like Ronaldo's arent all that good, just because Ronaldo has them people think they are the best. I used to love vapours, but ever since i got these F-50's. I feel so much more comfortable and everything feels right.

They dont just look good, they feel good.
Vapours just look good.
My Boots look better from the other side, i might take a photo and upload it later.

I think that to, boots are just for the player to feel more comfortable, they don't magically make you better, they can make you more comfortable so you can play better by that i mean with your feet more comfy.
phrase i think your case is just like this, you liked the legends but they didn't give you full comfortability on your feet, boots need to adapt perfectly to the feet so you feel the ball not just play it, with the pulses you get the feeling of playing better but its just psicological you play good with any of those, pulses just give you that missing comfortability(again this word lol).

The only things that determine whether a boot is good or not are:

1) Grip the surface
2) Make sure your comfortable
3) They should not have laces on the top so that your shot can go bent sometimes

That's it basically.

good old f50s i had a pair as well.. great boots i have to say.. but i took a lot of stick when i kept checking for missing studs after the game!!!

Bring 'em on, Homer. I might as well take a shot of my MV4's...

Here are some new F50.8s:

my favourite boots are the Adidas F50+ in black/blue, had them for a while now and they're the most comfortable boots i've ever worn.

also have Umbro XAI III in black/white, another exceptionally comfortable boot

still have a pair or Adidas F50s too, in black/sun, great boots at the time, less comfort than the f50+ though, i loved the look of these when they came out.

as you can see, i don't believe in owning/buying the latest or most fashionable boots, i prefer dark boots that are comfortable and help me play better, rather than white or silver boots that look flashy but don't do the job well.

Luckily i went to the adidas.com/football and saw the "Messi part" up and Had to watch it. I think their nice boots, just not sure about the plastic or transparent part, seems fragile.

I just dont know how those Tunits would feel on your feet...they dont look like built to last...plastics becomes hard in time and they crack...Still prefer good ol'leather on my feet.AdiPures...now those are dope.

Agh my Predators have torn, and I haven't even had them a year!

Granted, I did wear them every day at practice but still...

Think I'll either get new Preds or the new Nike Lasers, and some cheap ones for practice.

yeh i agree about the tunits, i can imagine the heel part getting scratched/scuffed after the first use and no looking as shiny, also , considering it's full of small holes, i doubt it'll be long before they start to crack.

Guys I really need help deciding what to get. I went to the store today but they didn't have anything in my size besides some cheap ones i got from training.

I tried on the Nike Lasers and they seemed to narrow for my foot, will the stretch or should I stay away from them? I'm considering the new Predator Powerswerve, but they have two different materials, some are kangaroo leather and others are 'microfibre', what's the difference and which is better?

Those are sweet Homer...I believe those are from the Nike Five series?

To StayingPower...If you have wide feet..get the adidas Predator Absolion PS TRX FG or,if you have the extra cash, the top of the line PowerSwerves, they are made with WIDEFIT style and would be comfortable for widefit people...I know because I am using them...

Thanks phrase, I guess I'll go with the Powerswerves then. Lasers are a no go for wide feet? Also, do you have any opinion on microfibre vs. kangaroo leather?

The Predator Absolion above, which I own are fitted with K-leather pretty much around the strike zone of the foot and around the instep, where the Predator rubber element are.

I'm always comfortable with leather/k-leather ever since I started playing football.Started off with Puma Kings,Diadora Brasil,Umbro Speciali,Nike Tiempo,Nike Tiempo Premier and Nike Legends. The Predator Absolion is pretty much the first 'high-tech' boots I ever own because I felt I needed a change.

Its up to the user preferrence really.Leather moulds to your footshape once you play in the rain and then letting it air dry.I do not think mircofibre does that but they are lighter than leather.SO it is up to you really.Hope that helps.
