Copa America 2011

Who do you think will win the Copa America ?

Robinho got benched. Dani Alves made a school boy mistake that resulted in Paraguay's 2nd goal. He's been awful... I just don't get it, not long ago we had him and Maicon flying down the right flank, but suddenly both turned shite.

Ramires was terrible against Venezuela but did a lot better against Paraguay.
Ganso is clearly out of shape, but he is a creative mind we need, nonetheless.

Neymar is a spoilt child. A lot of talent there, but he always overdo it. He's been all flicks and fireworks and no end product so far in Copa America. He did well in friendlies like against Scotland, but this is his first official competition, so he's finding out what's the real deal.
I'm afraid if he doesn't find the right measure soon, he will end up being a Robinho or even worse, a Denilson (the Real Betis one).

Mano Menezes announced he will make some changes. I think Fred will be a starter. He's not spectacular but his goal rate has been fairly good with Flu and the Brazil National Team.

I dont saw 1st match but I think Robinho its class , and to put one neymar before him its something STUPID !

i hope last match Robinho start in place of neymar

really so bad this team of brasil better to call old ronaldo than this stupid childs hes yet better then them !

Thinking that you have an absolutely football beast in Hulk and don't even call him...

Oh, and of course, you desperately need a poacher like you had in the past.

Costa Rica bit more than they could chew last night. Argentina did well not great though with Messi diving about the pressure was ON! to dive for a pen then to sit on the pitch arms up like he was rob was shocking. Anyhow he tried so hard to score too. This tourney seems very slow.

Argentina 3-0 Costa Rica

Very sorry for Costa Rica, I was hoping to see them in the next round of competition, but alas ... although they still have a chance to get to the quarter-finals as one of the two best teams in the 3rd place in their groups, but unfortunately this chance is very small. And hosts of the tournament can only congratulate you, because after two unconvincing draw they show a good result, well done! :P

Final standings of Group A:

1. Colombia......7
2. Argentina.....5
3. Costa Rica....3
4. Bolivia..........1

Finally I saw a match where Messi didn't played by himself, instead, he was a superb assistant to the 2nd Agüero goal and the Di María one, and played an all-around good match.

Gago was sublime in the midfield, he deserves to be in the starting XI the next matches: he played everywhere, fighted every ball, made some great passes and contributions to the team. The opening goal was thank to a good shoot of him.

The only bad things: Higuain was VERY erratic, to much for a CF, and Di María played the "Diving Show" all the way, very sad of him.

Enjoyed last nights games, things are picking up.

Is Caicedo still owned by Man City?

I know, he did well last season, I thought he was on loan.

Artem,
I love how you made this your thread :BOP: thanks for your update being Russian and a fan of Footy from all over the globe can`t wait to see your Euro12 stuff :WORSHIP: even the commitment of your avatar:))

Caicedo is still owned by Man City as far as I know. He was on loan at Levante last year.

Anyway that ending of Paraguay vs. Venezuela was crazy! the assist by GK from the corner!!

Awesome stuff!!

And I think after yesterday, Maicon made that RB spot his own again and Dani Alves will be watching him from the bench for a long time lol.

Nice to see Pato score those goals and so much emotion. Brazil could've still used Hulk though. They should've taken him.

Thank you! But at Euro 2012 I not can as active as here, in the threads of Gold Cup and Asia Cup lay review of matches, as they are and so are very well will covered in the forum about Euro. After all, Evo-Web have very, very many Europeans, more than Americans, who are actively will supported for their teams. But you can still see me in a thread about African Cup of Nations 2012, where I will also actively assist with the review of the game, and also I'm probably going to create a myself thread about the Oceania Nations Cup 2012, which will be held from 1 to 12 June. After all, this is the most unknown of the major international tournaments in the world, about which are unlikely to know a lot of people, and I'll be glad to show it to those who are here. :P

Thank you! No, all the matches live, I can not see as many of them start really late in St. Petersburg, but there are some that do not start very late and I could see them. :P

Anyone know how the draw for the quarter finals was made? Why are Brazil playing Paraguay when they were both in the same group?
Chile won their group with 7 points compared to Brazil's 5 points, but now Chile have to play a team who finished 2nd and Brazil gets to play a team who finished 3rd.

It's a stupid and weird system but because there are only 3 groups even 3rd place like Paraguay gets another chance and Brazil ended up winning their group as well at the end.

Honestly, Felipe Caicedo was the worst player I've ever seen in the Portuguese League. I remember my dad, who is a Sporting fan, ranting him all the time when he was in game, he almost acted like the other guy from River.

There are problems again with the vulcanic dust, so it's getting difficult for the teams to travel to their destinations for the upcoming matches.

Also, there's a hard weather, with electric storms in Santa Fé, Córdoba and Buenos Aires.

Let's hope that the cup keeps going without troubles.

What a surprise! Peru crushed Colombia 2-0! Great match btw.

Now Argentina and Uruguay are 1-1, and the match is very dirty, so much fouls.
