Some stuff sounds ok, some sounds a bit dodgy......

Which stuff?

Actually none of that (other than creating yourself for the Captain mode, would rather play as a real player).

I was remembering the other thing I read which was ass. producer blog

Stuff like.......

>Difficulty levels were adjusted so the game is easier at the lowest levels but still a challenge at the highest.

It was already well easy on amateur, I worry now the only challenging level will be legendary and that will be all cheating AI......

>Shooting was enhanced, making it possible to score those spectacular long range efforts but not to the extent that they happen too frequently.

It was already easy to score long range shots because the goalkeepers don't respond until the shot is really close and thus don't position themselves with their feet.....

Gotcha. But they did say something about making the keepers better. That might help with the long shots.

They always come out with a load of bollucks though.

I will jsut wait and see what reviews and people that actually play it say.

All that shit about Fifa 08 and the players making 10,000 decisions every second or something  what a joke.

If decisions mean my forwards running back to the centre circle when my wingers are running down the wing to cross it into the area - then yes they make alot of decisions - THE WRONG ONES!!!!

I do like Fifa alot - but they do come out with a load of bollucks before a game is released!!

hahah, hopefully you cant skip celebrations if you get scored on

if you reach the european finals they take out the crouch robo celebration

One of the first and most significant changes that we wanted to make was around responsiveness and game pace. To do this we refined our dribble, passing, trapping and player acceleration systems. Dribbling now has slightly less momentum and reacts slightly faster to user input, passes are crisper, players show more effort - stretching or sliding to get the ball if necessary - and player acceleration has been increased in order to give the players a more immediate feel and also to further differentiate players of differing abilities. This results in a faster, more responsive gameplay experience which can lead to some shout out loud moments of frantic edge of the seat excitement, especially in the knockout rounds of the tournament.

if they have implemented this right, then we could be onto a winner

just hope they have not overdone it

I tend to disagree on the long shots. i must suck(and i most probably do) but long shots NEVER go in for me that easy

about time they added dynamic weather effects

what modes will they have for online play? can we do proper tournaments online as well as online leagues?

What the release date of this?

i certainly sounds like the are addressing alot of the problems Fifa 08 had which is great news

The Captain thing sounds awesome as well, kinda like the Superstar thing for Madden

Sounds mostly good to me, weather and responsiveness especially.

Might be worth a bargain buy. The captaincy challenge sounds like fun aswell, especially playing with other people. I could imagine, back in the days when I had mates round for 2v2 pes, that you would each select a player and then see who could become captain 1st.

Also the tactics part sounds good, nothing special, but something that should be a basic in football games. Shame they only seem to be adding them now, fifa has it somewhat, but not enough.

It'll be good to play the demo to see how it's changed etc. Not sure if I'll be buying the full version though :SS.

if its changed for the better Fifa 08 will be sold

there is no way im playing on a older and poorer game when there is a better new one out

If the game has improved than I'll be glad but i wont bother getting it, its just for quick sales and a preview for FIFA 09 which i will get FIFA 08 is still the main Footie game

I wonder when we will get the Demo? I seriously cant wait to give this a spin!

Same here, can't wait for this. I bought UEFA CL and was very impressed with it after playing FIFA 07 (which was a bit poo to be honest); I could see the progress EA were making.
