UEFA Euro 2008

Looks good to me, can't see much wrong / different from 08. Probably won't be getting it unless its really really good as a tournament game is a waste of money imo.
 
I still don't get why they can't put in the champions league as well. I mean it might be good but the basic idea is to rip off people as much as possible with a game mode applied to a 6 months old game engine.

Put in something more like champions league, historic eurocup etc.


ONe more thing EA: what about a fantasy football on line game mode? We are given some money and we need to create a football team we can play on line. So we can choose what we prefer: a couple of superstars and the rest average players, good players but no big names etc. That would be fun adding few things like red card and injurt prevent a person to use that players for several games on line.
It would give us that manager feeling and avoid the costant use of the same two teams on line. The cards idea was good but i would rather choose the players myself.
 
Looking forward to hearing about the new be a pro mode that's in there, something about winning the captain's armband? So presumably something like you play some qualifying matches for the country of your choice with the aim being doing well enough to get the captain's armband, if you get it then you go on to the tournament and play through it as the captain of your country? Would be really nice if that's the case :)
 
With so few teams there's really no excuse not to have each team playing similar to how they play in real life, teams like Spain and Portugal passing it around and using the wings a lot, Greece having ten men behind the ball at all times then diving to win freekicks in dangerous areas, England passing it around their defence then giving the ball away as soon as they try to cross the halfway line before conceding soft goals and vilifying then firing the manager before giving him his £5m payoff........

This made me laugh because I played against a guy on FIFA 08 earlier who chose Greece & I was Turkey. He constantly had 10 men behind the ball and just booted it up to his centre-forward when he took possession of the ball. It worked too; he beat me on penalties. :((

I agree, the gameplay looks a bit weird. It looks like they might've slowed down the video so you can see the animations better but it doesn't look natural.
 
I hope the crowd move when you score this time. It takes off so much from the atmosphere when you score a goal against supporters who are like paper.
