What do you do to manually install kitserver to 1.30? As I'm going to try it with just afs2fs.

Some basic instructions of where to go, and how, would be excellent. If not then I'll just have to import into the img files like in previous years.

You can`t install kitserver using afs2fs, you need to hex-edit the pes2009.exe file, but first you need to know what to do. I can post here the needed alternations of the file, but as I said it doesn`t bring anything good, as modules are not working.

... and it even might be illegal ;)

I didn't mean using afs2fs to install it, I meant that was the only module I was hoping for. Although it doesn't make the modules work, could you please post the needed alterations anyway? Will at least give me a basis to try and start figuring out if there's any sort of way around it.

Maybe I'm misreading this but, it's only detaching lodmixer and kserv? And not AFSIO, CAMERA or AFS2FS?

That's not really true. It's not so bad using AFSExplorer and just importing the bin files in. All we'd really need to do to make another Kitserver in essence is somehow combine the process of kit linking in with the process of importing the bin files into the img files and generating a new img file. Some sort of programme that uses a universally agreed on kit-linking system (i.e. Arsenal are always 8166 for example), you put the bin files in, and then it does the rest for you. Not quite as snazzy as kitserver I agree but it'd work. You could have various different img files, like one with championship kits, one with j-league kits, and then swap them around depending on what you want to play.

Exactly Tom1151.

The game came first and kitserver evolved after thanks to Juce. If Juce chooses not to come back then we all need to respect that,move on and get on with it.
Fact is, there are those that enjoy editing and updating anyway - its almost
part of the game.

Then their are those that cant be bothered and just want a quick fix.

People do bring new ideas to the game that help to improve it , like Uber server for example.To me its a reasonable but more effort intensive solution to kitserver.
And yes Importing Bins with AFSE Explorer helps make massive improvements
to the game.
Konami will never make a perfect effort, but as long as the framework is right and editable then everyone will want to continue enhancing it .

hey guys,i have one question..i managed to import some stadiums (20 new stadiums in fact) via kitsever 8.1.1 ..how can I assign these stadiums in the teams?I have played some games in master league in these new stadiums but I cant play in these stadiums in the friendly mode or in another modes..

I think that this "no more kitserver" situation is actually good, because once it must brake - KONAMI must realize that people won`t do their job anymore. Year after year they bring almost no inovations, and if they were just a little bit smarter, they would implement all the kitserver fitures after the very first kitserver release (for PES 5, i think) into their next PES. People LOVE to edit PES serial, but KONAMI makes no effort to make that passion easy to accomplish, and that is a big no-no... If you want to last, give people what they want - give them as much CHOICES as they would, and by no means DO NOT limit their creativity.

Just imagine if KONAMI would release a tool for stadium creation/editing, or one for a complete player body/face lift, or maybe one just for player posing so the kimakers could see their creations a bit better... Imagine if we had a possibility to freely move and position camera in replay mode, how fantastic videos could be created.

Yes, we all play PES because of the gameplay, but even in that segment we have some serious bugs - "free kick freezed player", stupid, and like they can`t solve that problem for, how much... 5 months and 3 updates? It just shows how much actually they care of the fans.

It`s better this way... FIFA has all other segments of the game, atmosphere, graphics, CHOICES, but we play PES because of the football, the gameplay, and because we like it, but if KONAMI and their PES-developing team won`t make some effort to really do something "evolutional", for a change, then PES is going to dissapear, and that`s the way it should be - either FIFA will crush them in forecoming years, either some other football simulation will uprise, but either way - it`s good for the community.

Be not affraid ;)

1,Rename the game stadiums with the ones you replaced.Use PES 2009 Editor to rename stadiums.

2, in game go into edit tean and assign imported stadiums to whatever teams you want.

3 , dont forget to change your stadium preview pics using GGS.

oh i almost forgot it..i have not replaced any stadiums..i have inserted new ones..but when i open the pes 2009 editor i cant find them..i have imported the stads in kit server folder, img/cv09.img..when i play in master league mode,i can play in those stadiums.for example i played against rosenborg in a chineese stadium i downloaded :|

You wont find them because the original stadium names are in the game.
You need to work out what new stadiums replaced which existing ones.

( the ones you put in cv09 each replace an existing stadium slot.

These are the original stad bin numbers.Rename each stadium you have replaced with its respective new stadium name.

noticed a few new PMs and thought i'd make one more attempt at answering the common question here. First things first:
- yes, the Kitserver project is closed. There will be no new releases (8.1.2 is the final version)
- no, i will not update it to make it compatible with 1.30 EXE or any other future patches that Konami decides to release.

It wasn't easy to let go, but i've moved on.
Working now on a different project, and hopefully it will grow into something useful in the future. And maybe of some interest to PES community, who knows ;)

Thanks Juce. It's been quite the journey. And it's been so good, it's weened quite a few people off the techniques needed to patch, hence why it's such a problem to a lot of people now. Feel free to ignore me Juce but, is there any documentation or anything you can pass into the community to help us keep KitServer going in some form or another through other members?

I think it means you won't need protect your code.
If it is possible, publish your program source code for others to develop it....

Ti traduco io, in pratica dice che kitserver è un capitolo chiuso (la versione 8.1.2 è l'ultima e non ci sarà un update per l'ultima patch, ovvero la 1.30) ma allo stesso tempo juce dice che sta lavorando ad un nuovo progetto, tenendo tutti sulle spine dicendo che potrebbe essere qualcosa di innovativo e che potrebbe ancora una volta essere un progetto utile alla comunità di evo-web.
Boh.....diamogli tempo e vediamo cosa sarà sto nuovo progetto ;)
