ok, but what about the MLO? Do you know if PC is the same as in console versions where you can only play against people having the same game region as you?
I ask because, even though you have played people from Asia, it could also be because they purchased the European version

Not too sure but I can understand why it would be region locked on ranked matches but for friendlies and communities games I highly doubt it's an issue. just try and join our evo web communityfinal lap said:

exactly what i was thinking. i have a feeling many here in evo web dont have legit copies of PES. i have been pm'ing many users here and most say they are waiting to buy the game before joining the community.
a damm shame because this game truelly shines online and the online game modes are more suitable than fifa's one which does not have a community online mode and no proper tournament/league structure for online play

Wait a minute. Everyone else says that this game totally sucks arse online, yet you are saying it totally shines!?

Everyone across several forums is saying that PES 2011 is a total lag fest yet again. If I went and paid for a copy of this game based on your glowing report, will U give me a refund when I discover that yet again, the online game §ucks horse c0ck?
Although I reckon I prefer PES 2011, I am on the verge of purchasing FIFA 11 PC which is also very good but with assurred quality online play. I will absolutely hate myself if I give Konami any more money for yet another sub-standard product where for the fourth year in a row, they cant even get the online working......
.....So Mr Mendoza, make the case for online PES 2011 if u will...

If your playing a game and it's completely lag free for you, but at the end of the game the opponent says "worst lag", "slow connection" etc who is at fault there?
The reason I ask is because I would hate to win knowing the other guy couldn't even pass the ball properly.

everyone as in who? people here are fucking pirates from what i can see who hasnt even TRIED this game online to judge it.
i have a 10mb connection download and a shoddy 1mb upload. i played someone from USA and singapore LAGFREE mate.
Those two are actually members of the community by the way. i have played over 100 games online in community mode, MLO, and quick ranked matches and i can safely say that around 75-80% of those games have been lag free.
I dont need to make no case. if you choose to continue to pirate and play the game then thats your decision but for me, when i see a game worthy of its £££ i will buy it. infact, i feel ashamed buying it for only £18 as imo its worth double that as it will give me many months entertainment out of it.

honestly from my past experience if a game is unplayable for me its unplayable for them. konami have put in a place where if it lags for you it will also lag for them my purposely freezing/pausing the game for a split mili second for the person who is lagging to be insync with the opponent.

I am not basing my opinion on reports on this webpage, but from across a few forums where the mods don't pounce upon and delete anything that is negative towards the product. Go to pesgaming and see on the front page, Dan Bolas (total fan-boy) as even stated that the online game is poor. Also, I bought PES 2008, it was piss poor (both online and offline), I bought PES 2009 which was piss poor online, by PES 2010,I learned my lesson and never bought it and guess what, it was piss poor online! Seems that PES 2011 is more of the same, with positive reviews (on sites I can trust) being very much the exception.
I think the offline game is fantastic. Not as technically developed as FIFA but it is miles more fun. I would really like to pay my dues to the developers.......but, if after 3 online disasters, they still cannot address the issue then they don't deserve support. There are many much more complex games than PES that run seemlessly online (FIFA being one of them) and there is no excuse for the recurring online nightmare that PES gamers have been fed. Money is not the issue here, it is a matter of principle in that I don't like paying for a 2nd rate product, which is what PES is.

stop using online as an excuse to pirate. you are still a pirate stealing the game. if you dont want to give konami money for making a great offline game then dont pirate it, simple. your still stealing.
PESGamer as far as i know is a freaking joke of a website. people have come up with stupid reasons of why PES is the worse yes worse PES game ever according to many in that shit forum.
in here people are more open and honest. some dont like the game, some love the game but most of the reasons for either side are legitament reasons.
Your reading the wrong forums mate because this game online is lag free no issues at all most of the time. yet again last night i played over 10 games and all lag free while i accidently left my freaking utorrent running at one point. But still no lag and i played most people from outside of the uk where im from as well yet still no lag.
if you enjoy the game offline or online, buy the game then if money is not the issue. principle? dont play it at all. . thats better then pirating
Cheers, just annoying seeing some people complaining about lag when its flowing pretty good for me. I'm in Australia and the internet is pretty average over here, so don't understand why the lag would be a one way thing

Ok I took your word at face value and went out and bought the game. 25 GBP it cost me out of Gamestation.
After having played a few games I have to say that the online aspect is an improvement on previous years.
My verdict is therefore:
ONLINE PES 2011 IS UTTER FUCKING BULL§HIT....DONT BUY IT PEOPLE AND DONT BE FOOLED BY THE FAN BOYS AND THEIR POSITIVE REPORTS....UNPLAYABLE TOTAL LAGGY §HITE 100% OF THE TIME....
....and the goalies may as well not exist.
(but yes, it is the best PES online since PES 6....not that this says much)

its not that much about the connection, which can be diffrent due to so many aspects for everyone..
its about the people playing this game, most part of them are:
• bad language abusers
• quiters
• quiters who dont loose
• quiters who win
• players with hilarious formations and setting players to wrong positions its insane..
• people who cant play and wont learn it

i've never come across any of those in MLO. in MLO people dont quit at all as you pay to play each game.
The same issues can be found on fifa too so why the fuck would you buy fifa then?

I feel it to be my duty as a citizen of this glorious island, to warn fellow Britons not to be swayed by posts such as the above.
PES 2011 online is downright diabolical for the vast majority of users. Even those with fibre optic internet connections report problems.
If Jonnymendoza isn't lying about the lag then he is most certainly wearing deeply rose tinted glasses as even without the lag, the ranked online game is stuck on 'Normal' difficulty and if u thought the goalkeepers were bad offline, then online, they simply may as well not exist. Needless to say, play PES 2011 online and be prepared to conceed some of the lamest goals ever. If u are interested in actually winning the game then be prepared also to adpat your game to score plenty lame goals as well. This is nothing new for PES....but this time in the online game, lameness is there with a vengeance.

Seriously what fucking game are you playing? PES08? what you just described is none existent in PES11. i dont know about online ranked games being stuck on normal but all i know is that on community matches you can change the difficulty.
what impact does the difficulty level have anyway in 1v1? its fucking pointless.. your not playing AGAINTS the AI, your playing with ANOTHER HUMAN BEEING!!
Its the same reason fifa dont have difficulty level online

That's the purpose of a community. To avoid all that crap.
I've played many matches against jonneymendoza and they were lag free.
Of course, if I go to quick match I'll find a lot of laggers, but it's mainly because of stupid Konami. You can't tell apart the ones with bad connections and the ones with good connections. In PES2010 at least if you found someone with a red connection before the match you could just quit and play someone else with a better connection.
In this game everybody shows up as red. So, you're forced to play against people with bad connections, and that pisses me off. You don't know who to blame; Is it him with and his bad connection? Is it Konami's servers? No idea...
That's why I wanted to join a community with regular members to have good matches and even a competitive league. On this forum however, very few actually bought the game. They spend most of their time in editing...
Tried to look for other communities.... and it seems like only the Germans, French and Spanish have a good online community.
In UK they're probably all Fifa...

I have joined the Evo Web community. My name is MatTheCat, I am the 19th member and have a rather deflated ball due to disconnecting many times in disgust.
You would never make it as an AI engine developer. The HUMAN BEEING only controls one player at a time. All the rest is done by the AI. So most movement on the pitch at any one time is controlled by the AI. That AI can be dumb or (slightly more) intelligent. Aside from that, I think the goalies really suffer online due to the many 'beats' that are missed which means they don't respond as they do offline.

yes their are people who moan about MLO just like they moan about fifa 11 online and fifa bap. their is ALWAYS something to moan about. no game is perfect and im not saying PES is. all im saying is MOST yes MOST games are lag free for me and i have not come across any cheaters or anyone using insane formattions whatsoever.
i have nothing to gain for lying and my MLO record speaks for itself. if i had a lot of lag or every game was against a cheat i would stop playing the game.
And like one of the guys said, the purpose of me creating this community is so that you can AVOID cheaters and exploits but seeing as most in evo web dont have the legit version, theirs only about 4-5 of us that actually bother playing eachother.
I have been in a succesful fifa 1v1 sort of community over at AVF and yea members have their differences and conflicts occasionaly but overal everyone involved or have been involved in the past have all said how they have quit playing against randoms and only play people on their friends list as 10/10 you play a person who doesnt use exploits or cheats.
Its a shame most dont want to give this community a try as i reckon many will enjoy it. i have enjoyed countless games with the other 3 guys who are active in this evo community. now im not asking for u to play every day. of course not, but have a few games each week is cool and if the numbers are large then their is a great chance at least one or two people will be online to play against.
i really want to setup a league and cup for this to see how it is like in PES online but due to low numbers its just not worth it at the moment.
O and to the new members who joined, please join the xfire clan as wel. its the easiest way to organise games and see who is online
