Microsoft Xbox 360

It's arsey though Coopz. You can get the official adaptor for £40-£50 at most online stores these days and it's well worth buying.

Does anyone know if gamerpoints cards are country-locked? I have an italian 360, so I'm not sure if UK gamerpoints cards will work. MS are idiots and dont let you use credit cards that arent from the country the 360 is from. So my UK card wont work with my 360.

I know for sure they are region locked but not sure about country.

Im going to get a 360 Elite after my GCSEs, seems a really good console and loads of my mates as well as loads of people on forums I know have them so it will be really good to play everyone online :).

The postie has been today and posted something next-door. When I get dressed I'll pop round there.

It's either:

1. A Dell Keyboard
2. The VGA cable

or

3. Both.

Or some crappy DVD boxset my missus bought from Ebay.

I had my broken 360 returned on Friday now its got to go back again becuase Live isn't working

Just had a disc dirty error midway through a fifa match. The disc couldnt be cleaner..............

On its way out?
That's how my second 360 went - I bought a brand new copy of Forza 2 on the day it was released and the 360 kept giving me dirty disc errors.

My current 360 has gone a bit stupid over the last few days, it's a stupid thing that's going wrong but it really drives you mental when you're in the middle of a game.

It can't decide whether it's standing up or lying down - you know the ring of lights on the front of the 360? If it's standing up then it "knows" and so it makes the top-left quadrant light up, if you lie it down then it switches to the next quadrant along - so that it's always correct from the angle that you're looking at it from.

Well I'm in the middle of playing a game and it starts flickering from one to the other, back and forth back and forth. If I wobble the 360 it will fix it for a few minutes and then it starts again. I twatted it last night out of pure frustration and it worked great for about half an hour, then this morning it's happening non-stop.

Really fucking annoying, I wish they'd put in a manual override.

Maybe because you had forgot to take your porn collection out first? ;)) :DD
Bernard Manning's son Tim, everyone.

I never knew that happened

 Yea, there is a ballbearing in it somewhere that senses how your 360 is positioned I guess?
I imagine so but I can't get near it to rip the fucking thing out without voiding the warranty. Pain in the fucking arse, I wouldn't mind it if it worked properly but if it doesn't then give me the option to switch it off.

Try it, switch your 360 on, connect your pad and then stand it up, and lie it down. Hours of fun for all the family.

You're sending it back anyway so what the hell - just take the disc out first, that's the only thing you can save.

Vegas wasn't working for me last night. Disc read errors.

Fifa doesn't really work. TWO copies of Gears of War don't work.

Looks like this Xbox (3rd one, just over a month old) might be going back.

1st time Ive seen it, it happend twice yesterday straight after each other. Game stopped and went to dashboard, started fifa again and it wouldnt load giving the same error. Took the disc out and put it back in and it was fine again. Not sure whether to start playing the box a lot now (havent used it for 2 weeks) so that it can f#$k itself up proper so that I can get it fixed in time for GTA, or just leave it for awhile and see how it goes.........

Dilemma time and could do with some opinions :)

I've just moved into a house with a mate of mine. He's not got a console and only had a 28" CRT SDTV. So in the meantime, I've put my 42" HDTV and the 360 in the front room.

I've only lived with him a week but I feel bad coming home and wanting to go on my 360 to play a game to find he's on it. Or watching a film. I don't mind letting him play on the console but if I want to play a game, I don't want to wait two hours until he's finished the film and stopped using the TV.

But at the same time I'd feel pretty bad moving the TV and 360 into my room and leaving us with a pretty shit TV as our main TV. He's said he'll likely buy a 360 pretty shortly, but then he's been saying that for a year now. I'm thinking if he gets his own 360, he can put it in his room and we can system-link games. Although local games wouldn't be as comfortable getting chairs for the bedroom as sitting on the couch.

I'm pretty tempted to move the 360 I think, regardless of it being pretty harsh. What are your opinions?

I did that in my house. I also dont want to have to pay for damages if they do something to my machine or hog it. My room has a fancy LCDTV but downstairs we have some shitty 14 inch tv. They dont mind since I paid for them all. We still play games together, but its in my room and they usually have to ask me first.

Which brings me to another point. My mate is REALLY clumsy and I;ve already had to warn him about pulling on the guitar cable too much while playing GH3. I'd FLIP if he did something to my 360, he'd obviously deny all responsibility too and that'd leave me to get any breakages replaced.

Just say you really value your 360 and that you've spent a lot of money on it, so would prefer to have it in your room. You can get a core for about £110 these days so help him out!

He gets his bonus this month, I think it's a good few hundred pounds and he's said he'll buy one with his bonus. We'll see.

Thats not being harsh at all

Tell him to get his own decent tele and 360 then move your stuff into your own room ;))

oh dont know guys, thats the risk and the reward of living with mates. sure you risk having yoru shit break. but try telling your girlfriend or fiance or wife she needs to leave the room so you can play video games LOL. Howver is there any other room in your place.? I was lucky when I always lived with mates, we always had multiple rooms with multiple tv's. as not too have these uncomfortable situations.
