Seriously lads nobody knows anything for definite, at this time all we are relying on is reports from MS themselves and they have been known to tell a porky or 2 in the past.

Lets just wait and see what happens eh.

Sorry chris. There wont be much power wiise between the xbox 360 and ps3. But I have to say the ps3's new control pad concerns me.

both machines will be fantastic.

I apologise. But my facts were only responding to your opinionated speculation.

Fact or speculation which holds more water?

You said of the ps3 "Its obvious the ps3 will be more powerful than the xbox 360 "

And you're being "neutral"?

PS I was talking about "defecting" developers who you said had deserted ms( I dont know who they are). Not kojima.

I think the latest offical statement was that it was going to be 'around the $300 mark' which will probably be a stripped down version without a HD.

Well last I heard Xbox isnt using HD-DVD. They might be using it in the future, which I think is stupid.

If its £400 like it says in gamesradar theres no way Im getting it.

Microsoft has said they will reveal the official price it will be when it launches in Japan in the their conference over there at the end of July.

Yep it will not be more than £300, that is for sure. I actually think it will be less than that. I am also certain that there will NOT be a non-harddrive version of the console. MS said that Harddisk is standard on all Xbox360's.

Im realy stuck on what to say. It looks realy good in places, but other things in it are piss poor.

pros:

+ graphics
+ some good animation (competing for the ball)
+ atmosphere
+ the part when the camera goes to Sven after the Rooney pen.

cons:

- player representation is awful, besides Dida.
- facial animations
- players have the same pathetic models as current gen games. Not very well proportioned
- running animation

thats all I can say at the mo. dont wanna be too harsh ;)

Remember that is launch games not the final list of developers/games for the 360. Rockstar will be on the 360, no question.

The XBox won't sell well in Japan anyway, doing a game exclusively for the Japanese market would be suicide. I guess they will call it Pro Evo here.

and around that time Total Control Football(Dino Dini's new game) will proberly be released too. we cant complain.

Any new info on that? The last thing I read was Dini slagging off other games and how he will make it all so much better - no info, no screens, no dates.
