Have to say I always just play at the highest level from the start. Means something like this won't happen.

Stringerbell - I can't see anything mate for this. Actually I'm not sure how you actually loan a player out, I think it maybe a case of a team will have to offer for you. Sorry, maybe I should've offered a loan deal for a player. Will try and look at next transfer window. :roll:

Well, won the league by 6 points from PSV. So have the WEFA championship to look forward to next year. Am actually going to cut the squad down a bit, too many players. Sold Zidan (pretty quick I know) and have Nasri, Nakazawa, Matsuda and Mboma (although I'm thinking of keeping him) up for sale.

Also have my coming season's wages covered already.

When can you change your team's kit?

I started my ML before any real breakthrough had come in the editing community, and now I have a real Dortmund kit in the game but even when I select default kit in my ML menu it remains the one I made in edit mode, even when done in pre-season. However in exhibition matches it's the proper Dortmund kit I inserted. I have a bad feeling I'm going to have to use the in-game edited one for the whole time I play this ML.

Won the league on goal difference, brought a few new faces in:

Isaakson (Free)
Hinkel (Stuttgart), cash + Bill Tchato.
Perea (Atletico Madrid), cash + Bobo Balde.
M. Gamst-Pedersen (Free)
Forlan (Vilareal), cash + Gambino.

So not massive names but my team has a lot of outstanding players now. Perea's stats are off the chart, that's why I bought him. Forlan has 90+ for offense/speed/accel/shot power/shot acc/shot tech, as has the now developed Caracciolo. Supplement that with Tevez, Rosicky, Mascherano, and Worns at the back, it's a hell of a strong team if not filled with household names. Ivanschitz is gonna be good as well, young Austrian OMF who gets his fair share of game-time.

This is the first WE game since PSOne versions that I've felt the need to actually build a good team in order to have success at all levels. I have Man Utd, Juve and Dynamo Kiev in the Champions' League Group Stage so I'm gonna have to play well!
 
Yep, that's the guy. Him and Cordoba are great for Colombia at the back, although as you said, both are very small and can get a lot of trouble from big players.

Started a new ML with Real Betis in La Liga/D1.
They have a decent team, with some skilful players like Edu, Dani,
Ricardo Oliveira, and of course Joaquin.
But I'm trying to play a game with more
1-touch passing through the middle, so I don't use Joaquin too much unless
I'm really desperate to get a goal from the wings.

We had a great start, 3 wins in a row, before bad form/fatigue struck.
Now we're placed 6th after 9 games (4 W, 3 D, 2 L).
Almost sure of going to the 2nd round in the Cup after beating Atletico Madrid
2:0 away from home.
Next up, our toughest test so far, away to league leaders Real Madrid.

Adriano is unbelievable in WE9. My friend got him in ML (paid about 25,000 after 2 or 3 seasons. Basiclaly you shoot with him and score. And luckily he doesn't have 1 weak foot accuracy which he should have.

Decided just to chuck this in, WE9 ML (and to some extent, 1P mode) is a sack of shit. One game your players are fine, the next, they refuse to run to the ball, it's like the it has a bubble around it until the AI get hold of the thing. Another thing that's really just broken the camel's back for me is the amount of times the AI will pop a through pass into your back line, and your central defenders just...don't react. Mauras listed what he thought was great about this version shortly after it came out and said the fact your back line was no longer "nailed to the floor" when reacting to these passes was a great improvement. Sorry, they're still nailed!

Attacking-wise, I just love it when a chance to run into space and get 1 on 1 with the GK is created, and you hold :r1: and left/right depending on the goal you're facing, and instead of taking the ball 'horizontally', your player takes it ever so slightly at an angle, buying the AI defender vital time to get up close and stop your chance.

The game is just annoying the tits off me in 1P mode now. How dare you try to play nice constructive football! And the same AI for every team, "let's get everybody in our own six-yard box". I don't get to play much multiplayer, so the 1P/ML frustrations are sickening. How about a mode where you are rewarded/punished based on how well you play, instead of one game you're able to win 8-1 and the next not be able to string 2 passes together, all because of a preset in the CPU logic...

Roll on PES5 online, dunno how anyone can stick ML...

I have Bradley and Orellano, i guess then they are regeens that come up in every game or 1 in every 4 games ? and the rest have other regens maybe.
They are class though

Hey CD, you're right, at times there is a sense of inevitability
when the CPU just decides it is going to score a goal.
I've had 3 injury time goals scored against me, and they
were either a stupid long through ball or a looping cross
into the box.
At the time I just accepted it and played the next match.
But the CPU/AI does interfere a lot with your own defenders/strikers
many times.
Yesterday I was playing as Real Betis vs Barcelona at home.
I'm down by 1 goal, and I have a great chance to equalize,
it's an open goal and my player hits it wide.
Then I somehow manage to equalize, but I feel some really
strange effects on my players, ball is flying around, my
players can't control it, can't pass well.
Then in the last minute, cue the CPU puts a long through ball
and Larsson just walks past my keeper and he's trying desperately
to tackle him...but it's a goal and I lose 2:1

I'm not too bothered about the AI, I get the advantages
at times, sometimes it's the CPU.
 
Hi Ppl,

I'm in my 4th season in my Master League and I am seeing some slight errors in the game. After a league match, my players' experience points will increase by a good margin, but I noticed that after a game in a WEFA championship (with teams like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich) I don't see my players gaining as much experience points as the master league matches, even when I'm winning real & bayern 3-1, 5-2. Anyone can shed any light to it?

Like Mathewsss says, sometimes you'll have this magical advantage and other times the CPU will. I'm sick of this crap in WE games, the PSOne versions were never designed this way, you played the game and if you played crap then your result reflected that, if you played well usually you won the game. Why they feel the need to have such presets is beyond me, I was getting better, scoring more goals instead of scraping 1-0 wins, and then all of a sudden I beat PSV 6-1 and 8-1? Now of course, my team has been on the jellies and they can't pass to each other and when the ball comes their way they step aside!

Let me play the game Konami, stop trying to do it for me.

I remember playing in ISS PE on the PS1, and the ML was difficult
because of the crappy players you start with, but I don't remember
the AI interfering the way it does in WE on PS2.

I've seen some really funny things in my favour, there was this
match against Valencia, and their defender did this weird animation
and shot the ball straight back to his GK, who ran along the side
of the ball and let it in for an Own-Goal....hilarious.

Real Betis' new signings start banging in the goals !!

It took just 2 games for big Dirk Kuijt to find his feet in Spain.
In the 4:1 win over Villareal at home, the Dutchman was the man
of the match with 2 clinical strikes after good assists
from Edu and Rivera.

after Kuijt was denied his hat-trick.

The new playmaker of the team D'Alessandro has also gelled in
with his first goal in the 3:2 defeat to Real Sociedad.

In other news Betis were knocked out of the Copa Del Rey
after drawing 0:0 against Deportivo La Coruna who won 1:0 on agg.
The match was a tepid affair, with Betis failing to register even
one shot on goal !!!

Manager "Mathejo" said that his team will now concentrate
on finishing in the top 6 to get a chance to compete in the Champions
League.
