btw, proxi - do you mix with mp3s or vinyl?

looking through my 'top rated' tunes on my ipod - here's a selection of trance anthems that no trance lover should be without...

i've been flicking through my ipod and that's a selection of the first 50 tunes on my 'top rated' ipod playlist. there are 852 tunes on that playlist that i have rated either a 4 or a 5. after 8 years of downloading 1000s of trance tunes, i've narrowed them all down to 852. i'll try and list some more another night, but until then - attempt to download all the above mentioned tunes if you like your trance banging, uplifiting and melodic with euphoric breakdowns and even better build ups!

I mix with CDs mate, downloading mp3s then burning them off, or buying singles or getting promo CDs ;)

I'm about to start my mix tonight on radio, anyone wanting a nice long journey thru trance can tune in here

Does anyone know where the best place to go clubbing where they play Dance/Trance in the UK?

We was gonna go to Gatecrasher in Sheffield this weekend but the website dosnt say much about what they play
 
Don't come to Sheffield without it being promoted as a big trance night dude.

Crasher nowadays plays r'n'b, the nonces. It's only every now and again there's something good on. Ferry Corsten does drop by every now and again - although he can play funky house instead of trance, due to his style being different these days.

The other clubs play Dance stuff, Kingdom and Zero. All your Lee S and Friday Night Posse palaver.

You could always open a club yourself mate, i'd come perform ;)

and if i did open a club you would be the main eventer proxi ;)
 
Well i'd say Kingdom, Coopz. Zero seems to have a lot of speed garage on too and there's often a lot of trouble going on, clans of dickheads trying to "own" the club. Kingdom plays your commercial dance and new releases, the DJs are all pretty talented and it's full of skirt!

I agree on Traktor, i've tried that and VirtualDJ and they don't have a patch on real mixing.
 
Yeah the enjoyment of beat matching, using the turners and sliders on a real mixer is gone when you put tracktor on, even putting a vinyl on a turntable and cueing it up is gone.. just drag and drop an MP3 file to the relevant deck :(

Not heard anything of the single release yet dude, although i've found out it'll be one of the first released on their upcoming artist album. Great track, if you want a rip let me know, it's on A State Of Trance Episode 213 from this past Thursday.
 
:D well, anyone out there likes "real" electronic music? I don't know how to define it, some people calls it tech-house (so, it's something like andrea bertolini's "nasty bass", anyone knows that song?)

well, if someone is interested, there's an italian radio playing that kind of music.. it's not my favourite kind of music, but I like it.. it's soooooooooooooo cool according to me.. \\:o/

Thank you Very Kindly . First Mix has earned a permanent place in my Playlist . And by the sounds of the second one so Far , Its surpasses it :)
 
I would recommend going back a few years and picking up a copy of the last Trance Nation CD mixed by Ferry Corsten and check out CD1 :) besides the original cheese you get at the beginning of the CD it gets tonnes better! 2 songs in particular stand out for me and they are System F - Dance Valley Theme 2001 and Ralphie B - Massive top stuff. Oh and the remix of I Feel So Fine is top notch!!
