I'm one of those, like many, that misses a proper career mode for PES..since the Master League is no good at all. Hopefuly Rikman will bring a new dimension to it when he releases his engine (check this topic), but he's working abroad so he will only be able to continue his work when he's back.
Meanwhile, I thought I could do something to enjoy PES6 another way.

So this is what I'll try..I'll start a career, played on PES6, but simulated on FM09. I'll play every competition, with qualifying rounds, real european competitions from the FM draws. I'll start a season on FM (unemployed, just to 'follow' the game world), and play the games according to the team I picked on PES.
For the league, I'll play a league on PES. For the cup I'll play Cup rounds..for european group stages, I'll play small leagues.
All this by using w!Ld@'s fm to pes stats converter.

At the end of each season, using FMRTE (a tool for FM), I'll be able to edit the game and sort the league table as it happened on PES (for the teams that were champions/promoted/get to european competitions mirror on FM). I'll be able, at any point, to set transfer status for my players (listed or loan) and expect the board to get the deals.
As I perform, I'll get the chance to sign for other teams (from lots of leagues)...I've made a formula explaining how can I get points required to move teams.

All teams on FM have a reputation.. I reduced 3000 points to all of them for better handling.
For example, Real Madrid leads the chart with 6500, followed by Barcelona and Manchester United with 6450 and 6350. Benfica 5150, Atletico 4850, Portsmouth 3750, Koln 3300, Corinthians 3500, just for example.

So to be able to manage those teams I'll have to get its minimum points (and some other conditions on better teams, to make it changelling to get to the top).

How do I get points:
Leagues are divided in 4 levels since it's not the same if you achieve something in La Liga or the Cyprus League, obviously.

Level 1: Spain, England, Italy, France, Germany
Level 2: Portugal, Holland, Turkey, Scotland, Russia, Greece, Ukraine, Argentina, Brazil
Level 3: Romania, Czech Republic, Croatia, Poland, Austria, Belgium, Switerzland, Serbia, Cyprus, Chile, Mexico, Japan, Championship (England)
Level 4: Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, USA, Uruguay, China, Belarus, Serie B, 2.Bundesliga

For each league, there's objectives (according to FM) and 5 possible outcomes:
- Champion
- Champions League
- European Competitions
- Mid Table
- Relegation

So...this may sound complicated, but it's not :)

This is how I get points according to my season objective, final standing and league's level:

CHAMPION

Level 1: 2000 points(if my objective was to be champion); 2500 (if my objective was to get CL); 3000 (Objective:European qualification); 2500(Objective Mid Table); 4000 (Objective Avoid Relegation).
Level 2: 1500; 1750; 2000; 2250; 2500
Level 3: 1250; 1500; 1750; 2000; 2250
Level 4: 1000; 1250; 1500; 1750; 2000

So, if Im champion with Manchester United I get 2000 points. If I'm champion with Fenerbahce, 1500. With Sunderland, 4000.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE QUALIFICATION

Level 1: 1250; 1500; 1750; 2000; 2500
Level 2: 1000; 1250; 1500; 1750; 2000
Level 3: 750; 1000; 1250; 1500; 1750
Level 4: 500; 750; 1000; 1250; 1500

If I get a Champions League spot with Inter, I'll only get 1250, because I'm under my objective, for example.

EUROPEAN QUALIFICATION

Level 1: 750; 1000; 1250; 1500; 1750
Level 2: 500; 750; 1000; 1250; 1500
Level 3: 250; 500; 750; 1000; 1250
Level 4: 125; 250; 500; 750; 1000

MID TABLE (avoid relegation)

Level 1: (-2000); (-1000); 500; 750; 1000
Level 2: (-1500); (-750); 250; 500; 750
Level 3: (-1000); (-500); 150; 250; 500
Level 4: (-750); (-250); 100; 200; 350

So, if I get bad results, like teams fighting to be Champion and getting CL spot, and don't even make to europe, I'll even lose manager points.

RELEGATION

Level 1: (-4000); (-2500); (-1500); (-1250); (-1000)
Level 2: (-2500); (-2000); (-1000); (-750); (-500)
Level 3: (-1500); (-1000); (-750); (-500); (-250)
Level 4: (-1000); (-750); (-500); (-250); (-175)

This is how many points I lose if I get relegated, considering my start of the season objective and the league Im playing (more or less impact)

But obviously, I get points from other competitions:

A team from Sweden:

160 + 240 + 320 + 320 + 360 + 400 + 480 + 800 = 2760

I'll be able to apply to any team that sacked its manager from June to September. If I can meet the conditions for those teams, I can sign for them...if I meet the conditions to be sacked, I'll have to change team too.

I will follow FM transfers, so it's possible that on the second season I'll have Robinho on Chelsea. For my team, I'll update it according to the FM signings/sales too. I like the idea of the board taking control of the signings, but I'll think if I'll do it too...it's easy. I can transfer players with that FMRTE real time editor. I'd just have to create a way of making money (or using FM budget/wage budgets - that I can also change - and sign which players I want, making some formulas to keep it realistic, and not being able to sign Cristiano Ronaldo for Bolton. Every team has a reputation, and every player has it too, so it wouldn't be hard.

About player development, at the end of each season I'll update each player stats, again, based on FM, using the stats converter.

Limitations:

- No mid season transfers for most leagues. It can only be used on those south american leagues that use Apertura and Clausura.

- No more than 20 teams for league (PES limitation). I'll have to turn around that for Championship (24), Serie B (22)...

- On cup/european matches I'll assume the position I kick out on PES (in case the team Im playing doesn't qualify on FM)

- As it concern for tranfers..I can set my player indispensable (using FMRTE), but that doesn't mean the board won't sell him, I think. But that's realistic, in my opinion.


So...I'll try this new challenge this summer..I plan to go on for several seasons, even with players from youth system...trying different leagues and finally giving good use to all excelent creations from PES community, as for example, those nice ukranian stadiums I barely use nowadays.

This may sound harder than it is..because, since FM is simulating the other matches, I'll only need to create the teams Im playing with...so, my league teams plus all teams I meet in cups and european competitions...so that's no more than 30, or so.

If somebody is interested, I can post the career story here, like a diary, since that Master League stories Thread is dead...

I'll start with Parma FC, in Serie B. Top Player Difficulty, with w!Ld@ editor stats converter from FM09.

Even though they have been relegated to Serie B, Parma is still a nice challenge, because, being an immediate promotion the objective, the club is big enough to be attractive to great players when we reach Serie A. In fact, on their 90's golden age they had players like Buffon, Dino Baggio, Fabio Cannavaro, Gilardino, Zola, Crespo, Fernando Couto, Thuram, Micoud, Frey, Asprilla, Adriano or Stoichkov..

Objective: automatic promotion. 750 manager points awarded, if suceeded.

The top two teams are automatically promoted. If the 3rd-placed team is 10 or more points ahead of the 4th-placed team, it too is automatically promoted, otherwise the 3rd through 6th-placed teams enter a playoff tournament to determine the other team that will be promoted.
So, 1st, 2nd or 3rd with a 10 point advantage to the 4th.

Thanks! Yes, of course ;)..I'll follow FM transfers, as I started a season as unemployed to 'recreate' it. So, if I meet Inter next season they will have some signings for sure.
About my team, for now I think I'll let the board do the transfers and just use FM ones too...(if I get promoted on PES, Parma will be promoted on FM too, so the budgets should be accurate). Besides, I can set any player of mine transfer listed or listed for loan. Later, if I feel like signing players myself, it can easily be done since I can set transfers with that tool I mentioned before.

not a wonderfull start of Serie B for a team that is trying to get promoted, but in Coppa Italia i see you are still playing :)

You almost gave me will to start a season myself, but i have no patch and no material for kit server on my pes 6, its a clean installation, so its not so funny

Well, I'm having lots of fun because I was getting tired of doing the same things with PES.. The stats converted make the game much more challenging for me..really, I already made a few more games and it's being hard. Some things I never had with PES6..even though I had better gameplay with this version of the game.

I like the idea that I'll be able to keep my career, reach a stage where I'll have other signings, new youth players and getting the chance to move teams, get signed by a smaller nation and try to get them into a World Cup, etc..in a more realistic way.
Well, for now, I only need those kits/faces/stadiums for Serie B and the teams I'm playing against in Coppa Italia..so, no need to have a full kitserver, but I do.
I decided to pick a Serie B team because I think it's funnier starting my career from a lower division...even though it might not be so good in terms of stadiums and faces.. but I have time to reach better leagues :)
I think this will get more interesting as the season goes along, and maybe I'll even ask you (since you have a better knowledge of Italian football) if the players signed in the future are any good..

I will be glad to help with tips for transfers, honestly im not too good with them, put i play pes everyday with a cousin that is litterally a maniac of market transfers, and he is reliable on knowing if a young player is good or not :)

No need to thank me for following the thread, its a pleasure, with friends we often organize such seasons, just we do not make transfers and just rely on the transfers made in real life. 2 Seasons ago i menaged to arrive in semifinal of champions league with heerenven, and even if i lost badly against Chealse, it was a very satisfying season, since i won the double in Holland :D

;) Curious you mentioned Heerenven because it was one of the teams I thought about playing with...but I gave up on them because they were already on the UEFA Cup and I wanted to start a little lower. But yeah, playing with friends it's great..if you have time to make seasons like that, it must be very interesting.

thierryhenry50, I found it on an italian forum for PES (I don't remember the name (footballmania.it (?))..it's updated 'till february this year. I changed the stats to create an accurate world (everybody is rated according to FM) but using the appearances was very handy, so I thank the creator. If you want it, I can post the original.

I'll update the topic soon with a few more matches...

4th Qualifying Round

Incredible match in Ennio Tardini with Ancona knocking out our team on 4th qualifying round of Coppa Italia. Parma managed to tie the game 3 times until 3-3, but, with 15 mins left, Mastronunzio scored in a corner ending Parma's dream, that would face an away match against Juventus if we had won. Pegolo didn't had a nice debut this season on our goal, having some responsability on their winning goal. Very frustrating result..but still, it was nice to see the CPU putting up a fight like this.

Day 4

Even though it was an mportant away match against a difficult team, we decided to make some changes on the lineup to give some rest to key players (as Zenoni or the leading goalscorer Lucarelli along with his brother).
Reginaldo had then the chance to play as a forward and gave the team a win with his late goal, giving 3 important points for the team.

Another defeat at home, making it a serious case for our team. So far, we had 4 home matches only being able to win 1. Tonight we even got the advantadge but Lanzafame turned the game around with 2 diving headers.

Yeah vihn78, it was hugely dissapointing...but on the other side it's feeling good because usually it was easy to beat the CPU and now I'm finding it hard... Anyway, I should check the PES Statistic Center file about that match...0-1, 1-1, 1-2, 2-2, 2-3, 3-3, and the 3-4...

So..Tech 999, you'll have to download this PES09 editor.. there's a export fm09 file there, so you won't need to have FM09. You'll need a PES09 Option File though. If you want to use it on PES6 you'll have to copy the values into a PES6 editor. It's not automatically.

vihn78, there's some nice patches for last season (with all kits, faces, stadiums) on PES6 subforum. People are doing a patches for this season, but they haven't been released yet for obvious reasons. About faces, pesfaces.co.uk it's a nice place to start if you're looking for something specific that it's not on that major patch you'll download. About the stadiums, since they take a lot more space, usually people don't have them all at one file on the web. Estadiospeswe.blogspot.com is a good nice for those, but if you're looking for something specific, I can help you..I have like 800 rhino stadiums.

Yowza, it depends on what you want..Im using a generic Option File because I want to have the same values as FM every season..so, if a player improves, or gets worse, it will mirror on PES. At beginning of all seasons I'll update the players of the teams I'll play. For example..For this season I only needed to 'do' Serie B teams, and those turkish for friendlies. But I have another OF with all teams, that I use when I'm not playing this career.
If you want Serie B OF, Serie B kits...I can post them (not my creation though). I also have to look for them..But, for example, if in my career I'll move to another league I don't have all kits, like dutch, I might use some from last year.

But like I said, check this forums on PES6 section..you'll find a lot of stuff there. Even those big patches that have it all.
If I knew people liked the idea, I wouldn't have minded playing a career with somebody else..like, I would have sent the OF and the save file every time that person had to play and he would save it after playing the game and give me back...that would have been fun too. Having 2 careers :)

Anyway, I'll start posting each game on its own post in order to make it easier to navigate...too many images to load at the same page, it becomes heavy.
Do you have any suggestion...like, highlights not needed, photos not needed? I also have the game stats from all matches retrieved by PES Statistic Center.. For example, I know for now the lineups might not be so interesting, but in the future, it will be useful because many players will transfer so people know which team Im playing..:)

Thanks again! I'll probably post a few more games later tonight.. been having some problems but still everything under control.:P

Coincidence made us face both first two teams we met in Coppa Italia in a row for the league. It was an important match against a promotion contender, but unfortunately, without doing nothing to deserve it, Empoli managed to tie the game with just 9 minutes to go through a penalty.

Surprisingly Avellino is leading the table, closely followed by two of the main contenders, Empoli and Livorno. We are 4th placed, 5 points behind the leader, but just 2 points away from direct league promotion. But still a long way to go..Brescia have been disapointing so far.

Another goaless draw and guess what? Another ball hitting the bar. Once again we had the best chances (not many but still) but we couldn't get the 3 points making it the 3rd match in a row without winning. And this time against a poorly positioned team.
