Woke up today very exicted with the back in my head that PES2008 is waiting for me;)
left my house 12:00 and was back 18:00 but with 3 copy's of PES2008 ps3 verion in my hand nike bag:)
I was hungry as hell....so grabbed someting to eat first(and a red bull for the coming long night).Ok enouf BS lets talke about the game, lets start with the bad points of the game,the turfs are the biggest disappointment for me,i could not find 1 turf that looks good it looks like yellowish corn fields:( where the f*ck are the dark green fresh cut gras Konami!!!!The audience does look gay:( i admit on the 360 demo u realy saw 3d fans cheering.
Ok there are also slow downs/framte rate dropping issue's with some stadiums.First game i played was Ac milan vs Villarreal ( no slow downs on this match)now it does feel different from the 360 demo i ha8ve to say.The speed/pace is much better the player moment is much better,specialy individual players like Kaka and Pirlo have a great touch in the game like passing shooting dribbel style.The ai is a lot better, the cpu does not make stupid mistakes or stupid passes if they see there is no option left they just pass the bal back to there defenders ,they get better and better specialy the keeper is hard to beat and makes nice saves time to time.The gameplay remains good.
Second match was Barcalona vs Real madrid,again individual players where present....alsow like Raul's touch of the bal and giving smart short passes to co players.
So after playing 5 matches the game is not that bad as ppl where talking about(ok the frame rate is a issue on some stadiums)
The player faces and behaviors are superb and realistic to me
the commentry is wel done this time.
The network function is not working yet
i can not say anything about the cups/leagues/editing because i only played some matches thats al.

btw i played the game on my DELL2407 FULLHD monitor
later on tonight i wil play on my samsung 50' HD plasma:)
and thats deffo a whole other experience always

I am waiting for my cousin who wil stay the whole weekend here to play the game(dude is traveling 3 hours with train to get the game:))
so i can expierence how the 1 v 1 is.
I can not give a full impression of the game,i need to play the whole weekend and i hope for a OF with kitts.
For the my first impression is positiev,ok the game could be much better but i am over that phase now, because its the same feeling same year:)

For now im of to play this puppy the whole weekend with some chips and redbull:)

thanks for first impressions Junka, but fix your screens/vids please ( you can upload vids on zshare.net and pics on imageshack.us )

junka can you tell me if there is any weather effects in the game?are the camera views as the same as previous pes games.i prefer the closer views and all i have seen so far are cameras from a distance
 
Could the slowdown be sorted out if the game could be installed on the PS3hard drive. Just a thought.........
 
Nice review! Thanks for the screenshots!

3 questions:

- Is the net physics changed compared to the demo, where it barely moved comparing to last PES?

- Is it now possible to make a proper Champions League (on Konami Cup, I think) with home & away matches?

- Can you edit and use those 52 Master League teams (Virgo, All Stars, Classics) on friendlies, cups and ML as any regular team? You can see them when you start a ML..
 
Worked great mate could you possibly film when the framerate drops to see if it really is a big deal as people have been making out.

ahh, i can't wait for the game. so happy for familiarity!

gotta disagree though, because the grass in your vids look better than previous current-gen.

also the crowd look better than the crowd in my PS3/FIFA08 (3 dimensional with 1 dimensional emotion)!

They're just lazy and slapdash when it comes to a lot of these kind of things.

what i realy want do know is .... is there a difference between the PC/xbox360 demo and the Full version .... and how different is

about the colour of the grass, you tried going to screen settings and changing the colours yourself, I normally add the green and take a red and blue and mess around till the grass is more green and the players colours arent that effected etc.
 
when choosing the home/away kits before a match, can you select just the socks or the shirts etc. to change just like we10? thanx in advance...
