PES 2015 Discussion Thread (PS4/XB1)

Its probably just 17 like shown in some of the videos but Konami are putting off announcing it, Just two new stadiums this year and three stadiums taken out.

It's disappointing, aside from a sparse ML mode, I do consider this is their biggest issue.

I don't think the stadium editor will do much to provide any form of diversity in experience for different teams either...

Gave this another blast tonight but still not feeling the love.

As much as I hate the other game online for all the wank lobbed throughballs, the A.I in PES are always at it too! Pretty disappointing when I always found PES single player to be better than FIFA in the past.

Maybe the full release will be a bit better

well ummm in FIFA 14 lobbed balls are heavly OP, here cpu is just going for gaps, like a human would do. i love it. if u defend well than its a no go. personally i love how Bayern play tiki-taka but yet if you defend like shit, it uses long balls, crosses too, not just going for tikitaka blatantly like FIFA cpu even if there is a clear goal chance

How come it's 'one is overpowered' and one is 'just going for gaps'? Serious question.

just wrote it down, u can prevent the lobbed balls here. in FIFA 14 u cant, player switching, assisted passing is that much a mess, 9 times out of 10 its an assist on goal/dangeourus shot

To be fair, it's a question that deserves an answer from someone at Konami. The stadium count continues to dwindle, for no obvious reason either.

I know many people don't care about stadia but to me they add realism, variety and immersion so the fact that the stadium count is worryingly thin is an issue to me.

What happened to the three Portuguese stadia for instance? Konami losing or not renewing the licences? They're not in EA's game so an exclusivity issue is unlikely. It's a typical Konami mystery. Cutting good content for no apparent reason is not good at all.

At this point, I think we all know the answer: Money. Konami instead of making a bigger investment - they most certainly lost tones of revenue since PES2014 probably was the worst selling game in a long time - this year given that the game is being widely praised and has received a strong support of the fans, are trying to save a buck at all costs. You want second divisions? We need to cut it somewhere.

I've a gut feeling that if the CL final didn't take place at Estádio da Luz, it probably would not be last year version, like both Dragão and José de Alvalade.

I hope I'm wrong, but its 10 days until release, so any big news would already came out. At least us PC guys can easily used last year stadiums like Wembley or da Luz when (or if:PRAY:) the modders convert them.

Off topic but did anyone see the Asian Champion's League final? It was the first time an Australian team won. My team has previously made the final but lost. Big achievement for Australia given that our teams are salary capped and the team that won has only been together for two years. I think the Western sydney wanderers will be in the ACL tournament mode anyway.

I remember seeing a youtube clip of a guy going through the afc teams in pes15 preview version and yes.. Australia has 3 teams in it this years.. .Central coast, Melbourne Victory, and yes.. Western Sydney wanders....

Can't say I struggled against lobbed through balls in FIFA 14 or this year's version. Bored of people attempting them but dealt with most easily enough. Not an issue for me.

this year it is balanced pretty well, now the issue is that attacking, speedy players are way too overpowered. only with really lower is the game fun.

so in the PES DEMO(!) is nothing op so far and a really good defence is a really good defence here. i hope it stays as it is

If Norwich is Norfolk City then Ipswich should be Suffolk Town. Still, glad we're finally in the game, sort of.:)

We are South Wales and Swans West Glamorgan City. Pretty sure Swansea is in South Wales too so bit daft naming us that. Should have been South Glamorgan City if they are West.
As for being !'d above, I never brought FIFA up, you did! I asked the question why one game gets slated for over the top passes but the other doesn't. Just find it strange that one is classed as over powered when the one video I watched looked so easy to put them over the top. Admittedly I haven't played the demo enough (as I wasn't fussed on it) so that's the reason I asked. Just saying over powered doesn't mean much to me. I guess it's a feel thing. I might DL the demo on my PS4 later to try it out as it was poor on the XB1.

i just dont want to force my opinion on you by simply saying its not op in PES because thats what i think by the way. :D
and FIFA 14 also a footy game, where the gameplay is all about that so its fair to compare.

in the same kind of level you know whats op in PES? pressing 3 times the R3 button, now thats just like FIFA 14 lob passes and headers. here there is nothing to worry about besides those tricks, now i dunno about the other tricks but these kinda op tricks could ruin the online experience. im more worried about this

Only 10 more years until there's a third tier. By which point Tranmere will have been out of existence for 9 years.

I really don't see why Konami can't put league 1 and 2 in next year along with other leagues in the same fashion, also i'm sure the Football league license is open to purchase, Football manager has it and i'm sure Konami could do themselves a huge favor in getting it next year.

They have weekly updates apparently and a base in London, it's not like old times when databases couldn't be updated because way over in japan it was rather difficult to get consistent updates on players because i'm not sure you watch live championship matches in Japan. This is 2014, the football league show is on bbc 1 12:00am Saturday and live games are on through the week on sky.

well Ultimate Team is the present, for PES Myclub is the future, one of the main reason for the mode to get bigger, better with a bigger player database

Thats because there is div 2 in every other league except for some. So whats the point in generic div 2 which was used to compensate for the missing second div.

For example, it would provide an easy option to convert fake PEU league to any missing European league, accompanied by its 2nd division (Bundesliga 1 and 2 being most common).

The licensing packages for manager games are different from the licensing packages for simulation games.
