PC PES 2014 discussion thread

Don't be so harsh on the guys being harsh on jenkey and co, they're just being ignorant.

If you had any idea the amount of hours and brain power you need to do the kind of things jenkey does for the game, you would be throwing money at him.

I've said it before, without Jenkey the game is nothing. I wouldn't purchase the game at all!, let alone 2 copies.

From what I said on the last page, without Jenkey, hopefully we will have more modders who can create advanced tools instead of the entire community relying on one guy.

Jenkey can't work all day every day on PES, when he takes a place the entire community grinds to a holt! I feel as if maybe a few of us should contact some programmer forums to see if they could teach us some things and some tutorials so we can get more people making tools and helping eachover out.

I think no need specialist. We have already like those guys. Just before do anything we must learn Hex editing and programming software.

I don't think it's that easy. I'm not talking about some other tool, it's kitserver. Right now, jenkey is the one who lead the project and RUMORS said that he'll stop (That makes me appreciate Juce more because he made kitserver for 5 PES games he didn't like).

On the brighter side, even if kitserver wouldn't exist anymore, PES community will find another way. Like some years ago when another people came with PESplus or Megalink, those projects died because of the superiority of kitserver.

you guys worried too much , there will be kitserver for pes2014 and everyone who word on pes2013 will work on pes2014 , now move on.. :)

All I really want from a patch is the real club crests, kits, team names and player names. Anything else is a bonus.

The extra stadia are fantastic too.

This! I don't want gamplay patches or removed blur etc. anything like that as I play both the PS3 version with friends and PC version for offline. Its annoying to go from one to the other with those changes.

i hope juce will also be back for pes 2014.

and nesa24 is right, konami is trying to divide community/fans and modders/editors. we should never fall on that attempt.

Thats my point. We can't keep having this attitude, ohh its so hard only master jenkey can do it, sorry. Jenkey has learned a lot over the years having that creativity to challenge himself, trying and experiment with new things, editing new things.

There are no barriers with him. Nesa is quite similar, he'll try anything and everything to further PES.

This is exactly what we need, more tutorials, I think I'll travel around the net to find some more football fans who enjoy pes and know a bit about programming.

How does the digital purchase of the game work ? You pay online and you receive a download link ?

Previously they were using UK Gamesplanet. With Gamesplanet their M.O. require them to validate the buyer credential first (credit card, paypal holder etc.) before sending the activation key. Since PES for PC use SecuROM you need to activate the game first before able to launch it. Gamesplanet will send two emails, the first one for the download link and the second one is the activation key.

The issue here the process could take from hours to days depend on working hours and the competence of Gamesplanet staff. My purchase of PES 2012 took several hours, but several other unlucky customer reported it took them days before receiving the activation key. Beside i'm sure the download link provided isn't valid indefinitely, and the downloader is pretty unstable in term of download speed.

If i were to purchase digital copy, i'll surely go for better distributor like Steam, even though i don't like running my game through a third party client.

jenkey has the kitserver source from juce , if juce will accept my request of getting the source I will made it for pes 2014.

@nesa ... slightly off-topic, but ...

Jel' se to neka zesca trolcina danas javila na pes serbia?

Through Steam, surely?

Cheers for the info.
One more question, it's possible for someone to make the purchase with his credit card/paypal account but ask for the the download link(s) to be sent to someone else as a gift no ? I'm asking this because I have some issues at my bank and cannot purchase anything off the internet.

The best thing Konami could do is to take people into their team like Jenkey who would be valuable additions in developing the code.

I hope Konami do realize that all games have their modding communities and that it is better to have a relationship with these communities, their market than come down on them like a ton of bricks.

The better studios actively encourage players to mod their games.

Of course in the mad modern world of association football where mammon is king and the sport is gradually being lost sight of, there are the additional complications of licenses for all sorts of things such as footballs, stadia, kits, player likenesses etc etc.

Fingers crossed Jenkey returns to modding if he so wishes it. I think lots of people do underestimate the time and effort modders take over their work which do of their own volition and love for the game.

Jenkey ranks alongside Juce and Robbie in this regard and they have done more for the game than certain oracles.

And of course no one ever built a statue to honour a critic as Sibelius so pertinently remarked.....

Does anyone think Konami will release a comprehensive tutorial for this edition of PES. The number of additional controls surely merits this and will accustom new players and old like myself to the game.

It's called copyright law. And what jenkey and others are doing is illegal. Which is why modders for both FIFA and PES constantly have their files removed from sites like Mediafire. Konami is not in the wrong here, nor do they spend any time whatsoever thinking about dividing the PES community (?).

The last game had the active training which, although a bit obtuse in the descriptions sometimes (timing some of the presses was tricky at first) is pretty comprehensive with the moves.

Both Steam and Gamesplanet allow gifting. You should have no trouble.

On a related note, I found my PES5 official guide book the other day, in all its glossy glory.

I'd love another one of these for PES2014. I used to spend hours poring over that guide book.

I hope so James. Might be worth a bit in a few years if it is in pristine condition.

Thanks negatrev. :) I did not play PES2013 aside from the demo once I found the League Mode had been discarded so I will be rusty and not having the time as such to play PES extensively, something along those lines would be welcome.

Was this active training similar to the training modes as in previous PES editions ? Namely to familiarize the player with which buttons on the controller do what and what certain combinations will produce ?
