i'm sure when i had the official vga cable a few years back the picture quality was amazing on my 40 inch....didn't think it would matter much that i bought a simular vga cable from game

so you recommend i get the official vga then mate?

Why is it that I've gone into my avatar settings and set my gamerpic as a photo of my avatar, it shows on the website as the avatar pic, but when I log into my 360, it has my old gamerpic?

Yeah MLB The Show also looked very impressive to me but didn't quite have enough to make me want to buy a PS3, I knew I'd always end up playing Fifa/Fight Night more and I knew that both would not be exclusives.

Check your personal settings, there is a pic that shows to other gamers and a pic that shows to friends.
 
FUCKS SAKE!!!

I connected the Xbox to live today to download a demo and most of my gamerscore and achievements have gone missing. It's kept my past game history but the whole of my achievements for Mirror's Edge, GOW2, L4D, Fallout 3 have completely gone. I had over 2000Gs. It's as if I've never played the games before. All the hours put in.

Is there a way to recover them? I only connected to live to download a demo.

I see that an unofficial Xbox Live Update pack has been released, so people who don't have live for whatever reason can download this and update their games, I believe this is not something that's illegal so I post the information here:

I have 26" in my room and when it comes to HD-DVD's VGA and HDMI look the same. When it comes to games VGA looks better on my TV.
 
somebody previously said component works better on bigger tv's...i have a 40" bravia...so i'm going to try component as i currently have VGA and it looks 'washed out'
