I'm reading a few stories like this. To me it seems like they've tried to rework some of the coding to make the game harder and more varied but they've totally messed it up and can't figure out how to make it right (yet). I'm sure they will figure it out in time.

How to install Metallic Logos Megapack
Step 1) Where to put Football Manager Graphics
Once you've downloaded a Football Manager Graphic Pack and extracted it you should be left with a single folder on your computer. You're going to need to move that folder into a special location where Football Manager can find it.Apple: Where to put the FM Graphic Packs on Mac
You will need to copy the folder to this location:/Users/<yourname>/Library/Application Support/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2022/graphics
You may find it difficult to find this exact location, to make it easier, use the following instructions:
a) Open Finder
b) Click “Go” from the menubar and select “Go to Folder” (alternatively press Shift+CMD+G)
c) Copy in the following: ~/Library/Application Support/Sports Interactive/
d) Open the “Football Manager 2022” folder
e) Open the “graphics” folder (or created it if it doesn't exist)
f) Move the downloaded files into the ”graphics" folder
Windows: Where to put the FM Graphic Packs on Windows
Simply move the folder to the following location:Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2022/graphics
What if I don't have a graphics folder?
If you don't have a “graphics” folder simply create it 🙂The downloaded files ends with .zip, .rar, .7z
If you have a file that ends in .zip, .rar or .7z then you'll need to extract the files before installing them. These files are called “archives” and are a way to compress a folder into a single file for downloading but you'll need to open them and get the folder that's in them before installing. DO NOT put these files in your graphics folder, it won't work.Extract the files first and then put the extracted files into your graphics folder. If you're not sure how to extract them, look at these guides for windows or for mac.
Step 2) How to refresh graphics in Football Manager
Unfortunately even though you have the folder in the right place Football Manager won't automatically pick up the new files. You're going to have to go in and tell Football Manager to reload your graphics.Simply follow these instructions:
a) Open Football Manager
b) Click Preferences on the start screen (or if you're already in a game FM Logo > Preferences)
c) Click the “Advanced” tab
d) On the right hand side select “interface”
e) Scroll down the Skin Heading
f) Uncheck “Use caching to decrease page loading times”
g) Tick “Reload skin when confirming changes to preferences”
h) Click “Reload Skin”
And now your graphics should be appearing.
You should go back into the preferences and follow the same steps but this time tick “Use caching to decrease page loading times”, this will help with the long term performance of the game, but needed to be unticked to install these graphics.

New major update for FM released today with changes to the match engine.
So any tactics you had yesterday have probably been screwed for today.
- Fixes for AI aerial threat positioning for attacking corners
- Fixes to players rotating when blocking shots and improvements to deflections
- Improvements to goalkeepers saving central long range shots
- Fixes to goalkeepers not attempting to save penalty kicks
- Fixes to AI selection for throw in takers
- Fixes for AI selection for free kick takers
- Tweaks to the AI substitution logic so they make use of substitutes more and/or earlier in the match
- Fixes and improvements to AI managers team selection when using IFB and IWB roles
- Fixed an issue where AI managers could use the wide centreback role in the centre of a back 3
- Fix for the team talk reactions not staying past half-time
- Fixes for too many defenders going for a header inside own area
- Fixes for red cards being given for clean looking tackles
- Fix for the attacker playing the ball straight back to throw-in taker in an offside position following the throw
- Fixes for incorrect passive offside calls made by the ref and VAR when player is blocking the goalkeepers vision
- Fix for odd duty and role selections in 442 formations for AI managers

I've built an FM24 v2.4.2.0 December 1st "Superpack" of mods (weighing in at 20gb).
Download by visiting the Google Drive folder here...
...but please, please read the readme file in the folder before you install. I won't be happy if my thanks for providing this is a million questions.
If Google Drive forces the "Data" 7zip files to be re-zipped into a new zip - download it, extract the 7zip file from it into the same folder, then delete the zip file it came from, to free up your HDD space.
It's also important you start a new game for the best experience, as the latest official game update fixes a database issue where 90% of AI managers were assigned the "wing play" style.
I posted mod recommendations previously, but this list has now got huge (see spoiler below), and the problem is lots of them "cross over" (e.g. some updates feature the same database changes and end up duplicating people, and some graphics packs overlap meaning that multiple kits are assigned to the same slot).
So, I've put together the most complete mod pack that I can for FM24, featuring as much realism as I think can be crammed in, with no crossover issues (as far as I can see from testing).
There's around 450,000 faces, 250,000 club logos, 7,600 2D kits (all in the same style, with updated default kits to match), 1,600 3D kits (for the match engine), 5,000 stadium images for the various skins that give you a stadium preview, 1,000 real trophy images, a sleeves add-on for the 3D kits that adds league/cup logos...
...and that's just the graphics (not to mention all of the license fixes, league add-ons, rule fixes, missing player awards and more).
It also features the best three skins available for the game, in my opinion, for getting the most out of the graphics (particularly WTCS Gold).

Thanks @Chris Davies + its nice to actually know that someone else blows the dust off the under used Welsh leagues every season - the Wales with Dynamic Transfer Window mod is very welcome as the major problem with the welsh leagues is that finances are really not a thing so even if you are ever to get someone of quality they can just leave being amateur contracts, now at least you get a fee that you can reinvest!

I always play two Bala Town saves every year a realistic one (which I play slowly over the year) and a "fantasy" one and this mod allows me to do that it bit more realistically.There is actually a Thailand version available too by the same user (you can follow the link to the Welsh version in my original post's spoiler tag to dig out the Thai version), but the creator admits it means some of the rules are then "faked" in order for it to work, and I try not to download anything that does that.
To be honest I've always had a problem with how finance is handled by FM and it really is 'faking' how all finances are done to a point that in the background some of the top teams are 'cheating' so they are never in a bad place financally even if they are doing badly season on season.

I've updated the superpack version to v1.1 - if you've already downloaded it, either you can apply the fixes above (and delete any folders beginning with "alt" in the 2dkits & 3dkits folders by using Windows' search function if you want to save a few megabytes of space)...

Staged videos obviously but if someone really does this is perfectly fine by me. It's nice to find and do little things which are fun and provide you some sort of escape from the harsh reality of day by day life. This is one of the reasons role playing games are more fun than mindless fps.

Even before social media, people stated they wore their suits if playing in the FA Cup Final and other competitions.
It is a shame the bottom video mentions FIFA as opposed to FM, as why do people give a shit about a game where you score 6 goals a game with no effort.
Back in the uni ages ago I was playing CM 01-02, every single game in real time with the 2D view, every single match was a ritual, I was preparing for hours my tactics. It was amazing how every single decision was reflected in the 2D pitch. Unfortunately is a bit more random now I think in 3D and I'm a bit scared to go back to 2D.
I'm pretty sure you can download an updated database either from Fmscout or Sortitout.

I just bought the game. The most tedious part of this is downloading and installing all the mods that are essential to this game. It'll probably take me a day or two to get it done.
The only issue is the faces pack which you need to download via torrent if you don't want to pay for a direct download. The torrent is quite fast though. All the other mods are generally more accessible and smaller files in comparison to the faces pack.

Yup. Downloading and installing Face packs is a nightmare. There are some steam mods in the workshop that have some facepacks but not enough. Not as plentiful as the ones from sorti.

The loading screens vary in time depending on how many graphics you have running.
They don’t appear for that long only about 5 seconds.

FM Update January 2024.
I am going to prepare the FM January update files for Friday release.
I will work with @Chris Davies to make sure that all files are uploaded to the shared OneDrive.
As there are files which are missing from one section and the next, so we can make all files available in one or two different locations.
A lot of these files will also most likely be massively updated in February as this is when SI release their last big update.
The only issue I found this year is kits are not being updated as they used to, so the template which I have always used will probably be replaced with other kits.

To use this, a new save game is required, but it's literally a gamechanger. It contains (amongst other things) mass attribute updates to managers so that they rotate their squads more often (and are more active in the transfer window), and fitness/injury changes so that pressing a team to death (which is commonly the "cheat tactic") is 1) less effective, and 2) results in a more realistic level of injures.
