The CPU getting a red card after 2 minutes, never seen that before.
Brilliant! Got to say, I've seen it in 16, though. It's rare but I'd say they've got the balance just right. If I'm constantly trying to blast down the wings, you get the feeling you "annoy" the full-backs and if you knock the ball away at the right time, you can draw the foul and the card.

This is my worry with FIFA this year - it really doesn't seem to be that much different overall.

Anyone who's played the PES demo and the FIFA beta care to make any comparisons?

Anyone finding the controls very loose? I guess we wanted freedom for players to run wherever we wanted now we got it.

Yea looks and feels more natural less on rails like 16 is at times

Only thing i dislike is the way the AI spin and turn on the ball

What speed is this played on? Slow or default?

Cutscenes look a lot better than in former releases!

What I like better here is the passing mechanics.
I wish PES had it too.

The ball often goes directly to the receivers feet but it bobbles enough and doesn´t make it look so laser guided like in PES.
And whereas in PES the ball reaches the players feet with a 100% accuracy, here it´s not the case all the time.
You can see that in 9:25 when the CPU passes in the middle.
The receiver makes a step forward to get it and I doubt that this meant as a through ball.
Saw these very often and I like it!

Sry, I didn´t mean to turn this into a PES vs FIFA thing.

I enjoy the PES demo too and seeing this I´m sure I´ll have two good footy games this year.

Just don´t know whether I should get both cause I don´t have time to play all that crap.
My boys keep inviting me to GTA 5 sessions as well which is a lot of fun.

Can´t wait to try this demo!

EDIT:
Btw, a question to the beta testers:
How do you pull off these low shots?

Im playing default speed i can imagine slow setting will be too slow and i am yet to try the new low shots damn i totally forgot about them

Beta now has all modes unblocked gona do a career mode now

Penalty shootout. Really impressed with the physics

Here's one example of the AI trying to test User with a long lob pass...they ended up drawing a foul as a result.

Some nice, albeit lucky, build-up thanks to some smart cuts from the AI:

A nice little 1-2 from the AI (also using the new low kick)

Tiny example of ball physics...ball getting sort of jammed between two people's feet and spinning as a result

Is no one else bothered by the fact that in Fifa 16 if you play woth clear weather- then the brightness greatly reduces during gameplay camera and then becomes normal during cutscenes?

The same issue is still noticeable in Fifa 17 amd its the Auto Exposure thats fucked up. How is 12:00pm clear too dark?

How do you pull off these low shots? It's all directional now so you move the stick and shoot.

Really find defending something you need to learn because you really have to time your tackles as the refs show no shame when handing out the cards. Anything i did with 16 i can forget because moving these players is different you can move in almost all directions and that takes some getting used to.

Well it could mean the teams are there and licensed just not the league itself? Not an issue.

The one potential issue, in that article it says:

Senior producer, Nick Channon, for FIFA 17 announced at Gamescom 2016 that Electronic Arts could not close the deal on partnership with Serie A. He also said that EA has already secured deals with twenty other leagues which will be included in the game with their authentic badges and uniforms.

Fifa 16 had 33 leagues, so are we losing more than Serie A?

@Rebsat, thanks for the videos. :)

For me the best one is the second one with the CPU playing a long pass. Can you please tell me if the CPU plays different depending on what team ?

Also do Custom Tactics work now as they didn't in FIFA16?

Have to say the commentary is so annoying. I wish they would just have the commentator say the player's name and that's it rather than trying to have a realistic relevant conversion. Things like "He looks nervous" during a penalty shoot out and "his run up was all wrong" are just random. Sorry just had to get that off my chest :P

Im really enjoying be a pro career mode, its more like NBA 2k, where you get feedback from what you do on the pitch, like a good or bad pass etc, and you get manager feedback at half and full time too.

Do find the results realistic when the CPU are playing each other in career/ Be a pro mode? I think that in the past versions, the scoreline has been somewhat low compared to irl. It's really rare to see the top scorer manage to score than 20 goals in FIFA 16 (unless it's someone from your team).

Good call, that's annoyed me for years, the commentary referring to things that aren't actually in the game.

They've done a good job of adding more relevant information over the last few years, though - in PES you get discussions about your opposition's manager being berated in the press over poor decision-making, but it doesn't match up to any news stories you can access within the game, it's entirely made-up on the spot. I hate that.

Ooooh, interesting! It might actually be worth playing Be A Pro this year!

Is that in Be A Pro or in the story mode where you have to be Alex Hunter?

But there was one moment in PES2016 when erm...erm...erm...can't remember his name, when the commentator mentioned Noone (in my Cardiff team) being on a few team's short lists because he was performing well. Then about a second later "Nooooooooooone! Scores!" It was a great moment.

Similar to this one at 35 seconds....

Has to be the best commentating ever for me. Two classic lines in one. Heh heh imagine if Martin Taylor recorded that for penalty shoot outs

Sorry for off topic :JAY:

That's brilliant - but again, only if he actually was on a few teams' shortlists!
