Top 2 qualify, who do you think will make it ?

For me
A = Poland & Serbia
B = France & Italy
C = Greece & Turkey
D = Germany & Czechs
E = Croatia & Russia
F = Sweden & Spain
G = Romania & Bulgaria

Poland & Serbia? You do realize that Portugal is that group don't you? :)

He's wrong of course, should be Poland and Finland...
Serious now, as a Belgian i've seen quite a lot of matches in that group and i must say that Portugal did not impress me at all...Both Finland and Serbia were as good as Portugal and Poland were better IMHO.
I'm gonna say something which will sound funny...Portugal's luck could be that in the end they will be the only team that has beaten Belgium twice.
I will explain myself. When Belgium played their two matches against Portugal (and the first one against Finland), they were abysmal...at that time they were rock bottom...and everybody was certain that the EC was beyond their reach.
So our national coach decided to consider the EC as finished (mathematical Belgium still has a tiny litle chance, but that's academic) and field a young team. And suddenly all is going well: Belgium beat Serbia and the team is in a winning mood. I think we have a very talented team with yougsters like: Kompany, Vandenborre, Defour, Maarten Martens, Mirallas and Dembélé (the last one will be a great player). So i certainly think that Belgium can beat both Poland and Finland in their second match, which could be very usefull for Portugal...

A = Poland & Portugal

C = Turkey & Norway
D = Germany & Czechs
E = Croatia & Russia
F = Sweden & Northern Ireland
G = Romania & Holland

Germany to become the new European Champion

Portugal isn't lucky, Portugal's been lazy as hell. If they approached each and every single game with 100% determination and concentration, and if our coach picked the best 11 every time, Portugal would be qualified by now.

I think Portugal has messed up too much. They have messed around in their matches (esp drawing with Poland at the weekend) and now are in big trouble.

Here is how I see it:-

Belgian Fixtures
13/10/2007 Grp A Belgium v Finland - WIN
17/10/2007 Grp A Belgium v Armenia - WIN
17/11/2007 Grp A Poland v Belgium - DRAW
21/11/2007 Grp A Azerbaijan v Belgium - WIN
(+10 pts)

Polish fixtures
12/09/2007 Grp A Finland v Poland - DRAW
13/10/2007 Grp A Poland v Kazakhstan - WIN
17/11/2007 Grp A Poland v Belgium - DRAW
21/11/2007 Grp A Serbia v Poland - DEFEAT
(+5 pts)

Serbian fixtures
12/09/2007 Grp A Portugal v Serbia - DRAW
13/10/2007 Grp A Armenia v Serbia - WIN
17/10/2007 Grp A Azerbaijan v Serbia - WIN
17/11/2007 Grp A Serbia v Kazakhstan - WIN
21/11/2007 Grp A Serbia v Poland - WIN
(+13 pts)

Portuguese fixtures
12/09/2007 Grp A Portugal v Serbia - DRAW
17/11/2007 Grp A Portugal v Armenia - WIN
21/11/2007 Grp A Portugal v Finland - DRAW
13/10/2007 Grp A Azerbaijan v Portugal - DRAW
17/10/2007 Grp A Kazakhstan V Portugal - DRAW
(+7 pts)

Finnish fixtures
13/10/2007 Grp A Belgium v Finland - DEFEAT
17/11/2007 Grp A Finland v Azerbaijan - WIN
21/11/2007 Grp A Portugal v Finland - DRAW
(+4 pts)

Which I think makes Serbia and Poland go through. But for me the big tragedy of this group is that, in this day and age, Armenia v Azerbaijan was cancelled (both matches) due to "lack of saftey" over the Civil War.

I like your optimism. It's funny to see that everyone else so far has written off Scotland. I think we have the potential to upset a few people. We were shat on when the draw was made and no-one gave us a hope in hell but we've done not bad. :)

Scotland have done terrific...it annoys me how (English) people look down and your national team and the Scottish competition...

Portugal played badly against Poland. They were miserable against Serbia yesterday. I've never seen Portugal playing this bad in two straight games in a while.

To top it all off, our coach tried to punch a Serbian player after the game ended. He should resign today!

Our U-21 team would've won 4 or 5-0 against that Serbian team.

I'm doubting Portugal making to Euro08 now. Especially if UEFA decides to punish Portugal as a whole and not just the coach.

Here's a video of the incident, a think he missed by an inch:
