Here's my thoughts, once people figure out all you have to do is walk together its over.
Map design is not cool either, they all feel so small and people use the same route, it sucks.
Playing this, it is enjoyable, smacks of Unchartered though, even with the sound when a point of interest comes into play. Also with the listening it reminds me of Batman.
I think I may be about half way or so, however unlike Walking Dead I don't really feel a bond between Joel (me) and the girl as yet.
Just bumped into the two brothers just after getting out the hotel.

The first footage of The Last of Us' story DLC will be revealed during Friday morning's PlayStation 4 All Access launch event, show host Geoff Keighley has announced.
The footage will be shown live on Spike TV and online, alongside other PlayStation 4 announcements.
The DLC is set to introduce a new character to The Last of Us universe and feature an "ambitious story with strong ties into the narrative of The Last of Us". The content is expected to release between December and January.
PS4 All Access starts at 4am GMT this Friday, November 15, to celebrate the North American launch of PlayStation 4. If you're up, you'll be able to tune in via Sony's official Ustream.

I've only played a couple of hours of GTA V, and loving it already, so if it's anything like that, then that list is way off in my eyes.
Last of Us was good, but for me that's all it was, preferred Unchartered to it from the makers. Emotional pull on it was non-existent upto a little point late on in the game.
Actually on that subject and for me game, Walking Dead blows it way out the water.

Having played both I can see where you're coming from, FD.
Last of Us was a great game as it had me thinking and playing on the edge of my seat but, technically, GTA is the better game.
And now there are multiple characters to play, it's easier to feel a connection with at least one of them (for me it was Michael) so it even encourages emotional connection ala Last of Us whereas previous versions didn't have that for me.
I think eitherway, both games are great and we're lucky to have seen both in the same year.

I personally thought the Last of Us was game of the year last year, but despite being a brilliant game with a decent story for me it doesn't go down as an absolute classic due to it being massively linear, and you as a player having absolutely no control over what happens in the story, having more choices that effect the story would of improved the game for me and made me possibly replay it.

It's game of the generation for me.It's about the story ,where and how things happened.If it had choices or more open world feel it would lose that special feel while experiencing the acting,voice.For me it's not linear.

I think I'm almost at the end. In the hospital. So far the game is an 8/10 for me. Had more fun with GTA tbh. To each his own I guess.

+1 this is video game art plain and simple. Yes they could go openworld yes they could go the heavy rain route but this was not Naughty Dogs vision they wanted to tell a story and they did so with aplomb. After MGS1 this is one of the best games of all time.

If the DLC doesn't have bow and arrow I won't enjoy it as much as the main story.

I have mixed feelings about a DLC. It could tarnish the game's ending, couldn't it? Cause right now, the game is perfect, one of the best games in years, and the story has got some closure to it.
Now, I have a feeling this Firefly girl could be in it for betraying Ellie and taking her back to the Fireflies lab. I sense a major plot twist, but I'm not sure I'd like it.

I also think this game should be untouchable now, well at least the characters. Maybe using the same scenario would be alright.
About your spoiler, don't worry, I'm pretty sure this story is from before Ellie met Joel. So its more about knowing why Ellie became Ellie. If I'm not mistaken she evens mention that friend of hers in the main game.

My mind's set on doing just that.
The events take place before the main story, so it won't tarnish anything. Besides, as rumors say, it's possible that Ellie's friend can actually be the daughter of the firefly woman Joel ended up killing in cold blood at the end of the game. And this may be the friend that Ellie is with when they both get bitten, and even more than probable that at some point, when both are bitten, Ellie may have to kill her friend.
So, if anything, I think this storyline will even enforce a lot more the story and ending. Very hyped up with this!
