Problems?

JB, part of the update I just installed is meant to address the problem that kicked off this whole thread. Can you have a look when you get chance and let me know if it worked? I haven't had chance to test it myself.

Will do boss, not noticed any problems so far so it may well have done the business. Don't worry, I'll let you know if it hasn't. ;)

You can minimise/restore the quick reply box with the two little up/down arrows on the right of the blue Quick Reply bar. Is it just that?

I haven't noticed any issues here. Is it still a problem?

Has anyone else noticed it?

whats up with all the soft porn at the top of the page?

Some folk frequent these forums at work, and theres defo alot of members under the age of 18.

It it possible to bring back the archive section, where we can view the old threads from 2001 to late 2004?

It was here two years ago, what happened to it?

Not a problem, more of a request. Is it possible to make it a bit more obvious when you have messages, like making the unread number red or something? It may just be me and the fact I forget to check, but I keep missing I have messages in my in box!

There is a PM message that pops up when you visit the forums if you have a new PM, it pops up and stops you clicking anything else in the browser and says "So-and-so has sent you a message, read now?"

If you're not getting it you must have switched an option off somewhere, have a fiddle in your user control panel.

Nick, it should come up no matter where you're linked to, even if you get a PM in the middle of browsing through a thread the popup appears. Perhaps you've got a blocker that's blocking it like Plan M? In which case you could always make forums.evo-web.co.uk a rule exception in the blocking software.

Check your JavaScript settings - the message that appears uses that so you'll need to have it enabled. The message box that pops up is just a normal message box so generally won't get blocked by a pop-up blocker. If you then choose to open your PMs in a new window, then that may well get blocked.

That made sense as I typed it.

Ahh maybe that's it I had a problem with Javascript a while back and had to delete all the Java stuff I could find as part of the fix.... ;)
