http://ps2ddl.blogspot.com/2007/02/ps2-tools.html

i downloaded it from this site dumonde15 its on the list on the right! I have the same problems as you my ps2 laser has probs reading a CD so I converted it with this and it worked as a DVD this is the first time i tried it tho and it worked perfectly hope it helps

as for the error some people are getting I havent had it myself but iv heard it can sometimes be resolved with putting
"wnaspi32.dll" in you cddvdgen folder although you will have to google for the dll as i dont have it somtimes it might be because you havent patched the files with dvdscanlite properly and its still a cd file

thanx!! i gonna try it this afternoon..

i used scanlite to patch to dvd, you can just scan the iso at this point, then i extracted the iso with isobuster, then burned the files with nero udf/iso, works fine.

and is very simple

first i opened the iso with ISOBUSTER and saved the files at a folder in my desktop...

then opened the DVDscanlite 3.7 and i scanned and patched all the files in the folder ...i chose dvd at the beginning

and then i opened nero..i chose nero burning rom....dvd rom udf/iso and put there all the files from the folder ..and burn them at 4x speed..

it worked for me...

how to fix this???? is there away to do this correctly????

Hi, i had the same problem and this is what i did: I create a DUMMY FILE (there is a lot of dummy file creators, just use google) and i put that DUMMY FILE after all the other files in DVDCDGEN.....and it works ¡¡¡ The dummy file should be 1000 MB (1GB).

I hope it helps

hmm...can anyone please, please, PRETTY PLEASE up this to either:

Usenet

Megaupload

or a solid other download server/torrent?

thanks in advance! (sorry if this is an illegal request, I simply have no idea how to get this demo apart from Rapidshare (which doesnt work with my ISP, ultimately slow download speed :()

and me wants to play that demo :D

http://files.filefront.com/pes2009+capsrar/;11989486;/fileinfo.html

Faces captures made by me. Some faces are horrible, another are just great, like usual.

I liked the demo, altough I need more gameplay.

Thanks for the info saintric, I found out myself after downloading

I also took a look at the files. No CL files anywhere, I hope it is only for the demo...

3d kits are the same model as pes2009 pc version, but with texture, I will make a texture to easily adapt pc kits to ps2.

Dude, I'd like to see the picture, but filefront is a s***
please could you upload in other domain...
tks a lot!

Thanks for the downloads... I've got the demo running on my old PS2 using HD Advance.

I've played around 5 games so far and have picked up a few noticeable differences between the PS2 and PS3 versions other than the graphics.

I notice that goal kicks have not changed at all, unlike the PS3 version which now keeps the opposition players positions on the pitch similar to when the ball went out of play thus making short goal kicks alot harder and more realistic.

Also, I've not come across one "quick" free kick, on the PS3 it does free kicks without even changing screens but I suppose this is more a limitation with the PS2.

I'm impressed with the demo, alot of matches have ended up being very close tight affairs on Top Player which personally I like.

I'll try and get some screens uploaded if people want them posted...

Whe pes2009 on ps2 comes out, will it have more flexible control with the ps3 controller? Because i played the ps2 version of pes2008 in my ps3, and some controls were not working. Like the super dash with r1+r2 and the movement when the players let the ball pass them and in the same time they are starting to run by the ball without touching it. You know the r1 trick when receiving the ball...

Will these tricks work this time?

i wonder if its common knowledge that pes 2009 will have staggered release dates across all platforms? for instance, the game will be released on the 17 oct. for the PS3 and PSP, but the PS2 version won't be out till the 31st oct, with the wii not out till next spring!!

how does it compare to pes 2008 ps2 and previous ps2 pes' - any noticeable imprvements?

is it more like pes5 re tight games and no big gaps in middle of pitch?

cheers

I like it better than last years version already, one thing I have noticed is that it is alot harder to just throw the ball upto a good striker, take on 4 of the opposition defenders and score. You really have to work the ball around and make the space.

The biggest difference I can see is that the ball is alot heavier, passes are not hit really hard anymore and you have to think about where you are passing it, as a misdirected pass is now picked up by the opposition straight away. Also, I have noticed that the opposition stirkers close down your full backs alot if you bring them forward with the ball which is more realistic.

I've not seen big gaps in the pitch, as I said above you have to work the ball around to make space. It looks like they have also sorted out corners, so a clearing header does not tend to drop to there CM for a free shot on goal, also nearly everyone except a CF is back defending in or around the box.

Yes please

I'll try to get some uploaded later...

Here are my impressions on the demo posted in Re's thread. There is a general agreement that the game is much more difficult this year. Oh, and thanks for uploading the demo. :)

I played the demo on PS2. Not before wasting 3 DVD in the process. :CONF: The demo finally worked in the 4 th try. It was designed to work on a CD and my playstation doesn't read Cds anymore so I had to convert it and something was missing every time.

Graphics :
It's the same graphic engine since PES 4. No surprise here, the PS2 reached its limits and the graphical quality cannot be improved further without ruining the gameplay or the fluidity.

I really like the work on faces from Konami, the licensed faces look awesome. They improved the lighting effects and the faces have a small glassed effect on them. (next gen effect guaranteed ), same about hairstyles : unlike PES 2008, now every licensed player has his own (top quality) hairstyle. Ribéry& Toni looks awesome. The kits were improved as well : they have this HD style with the folded effect on them. It would be very difficult for kit makers to reach this quality on a small texture (512*256).

Gameplay :
The game is much more difficult. In the first game I was completely dominated with only 35 % in possession ! It's a weird thing but the 4 difficulty was much easier to me than the 3 rd one, I think it's justs fits my style of playing. In this game you don't have much space, the AI is superbly occupying the field and the pressing is fierce. You have to be as much creative as possible to beat the defense. Goal keepers are very good (not sure if it's a good thing or not) maybe too good. With Toni I remember that I wasn't able to beat J.Cesar even on a very close range powerful shot. Of course we shall eventually find the weaknesses of the AI with the time. It's much more difficult to shoot from distance, and the shots aren't too deadly anymore. Basically : It's a more challenging game in all aspects and from what I've heard the gameplay on PS2 will be more likely the best in all platforms.

Content :
The Champions League isn't featured in the PS2. A vicious move from Konami to turn the PS2 users on next gen platforms. Well it's not a major issue because the teams weren't all licensed. The balls, the menus, the intro music, all of this could be manually added in our DVD.

Global impression :
This year PES 2009 looks very promising, I hope that the final game confirms my good impression on the demo. This year we won't have an unfinished game like the previous one, the release date is set to the 31 October. I hope that they're still working on the game and this delay isn't justified solely by marketing/commercial reasons. One more time we shall rely on editors to take the game to a next level and deal with the unlicensed teams and the poor textures of stadiums.

cheers thanks for that - really appreciate the reply

have been enjoying FIFA 09 but am becoming increasingly bored iwth the repetitive play - however creative i try to get, the AI is too limited and i end up playing what i feel like is 'wire frame' football with none of the dynamic bits in between.

It sounds like this is a more pes5-type game - really looking forward to it.

MY THEORY ON IMPROVEMENTS - apparantly this year the ps2 version was outsourced for develpment - seems we've got a development team determined to make some changes/improvements at least...
