Hi,

4 days ago in Italy it was possible to buy the demo together with the sport magazine La Gazzetta dello Sport. Since a lot of people are looking for it, I decided to help the community.

Here you can find the links to download this demo.
Of course you need a modded PS2 to play this disc.

I tried these demos:
- PES 2009 PS3, X360 and PC versions
- FIFA 09 PS3 and X360 versions

IMHO this PS2 demo is by far the best version.
It is not next gen, ok, but it still rocks!

cheers mate - am clueless re this sort of stuff - how do i go about playing it?

will it work my my swap magic?

is it noticeable difference over pes 2009 ps2 - have they actually changed anything?

i tried the demo and i think pes 2009 ps2 will be the best
the gameplay is better than pes 2008 the faces are wonderful
WoW i cant wait for the full game man

You need a modded PS2. So I think the all the tricks that you use to start a not original cd/dvd should work.

It is PES 2009 PS2. The demo.
Comparing to the 2008 in my opinion is even better (but 2008 for PS2 was a great game too). Comparing to the PS3/360 2008 is by far much more better. Comparing to the PS3/360 2009 is much more better too.

Let's say that there's no so much to say.
Considering the previous episode, I think the increased the physical strong of the players, the physic of ball, there are new animations, now it is hard to make the tricks (nice idea), to do them now you have to be more skilled than before (you can't use the Right Analog Stick), it seems that this year they have implemented all the new features of the next gen console (you have the career, at list checking the menu,...).

Since the best versione excluding this one is the PS3 PES 2009 version, I think that we should compare these two versions. Doing that I think that the PS2 version wins for a lot of reason (all of them will be clear if you can try both the demo).

I'm still thinking that the new PS3 pad is not so nice to play PES or better it is not as beautiful as using the classic PS2's pad with no damned bad R2 and L2, you know.
 
Nice upload, but i can't get it working.. Has anyone made it work.. I use Swap Magic, but i think i need an option file to play the game..?? Did the demo create an option file on your memory card Snowball..??

Its for burn to cd.I had to convert mine tho to DVD-R (using dvdscanlite 3.7, cddvdgen,dvd decrypter) because my PS2 is temperamental when playing CD based games

Could you explain briefly what can you do in game with this demo? I mean, is like pc version, where you can only play one match choosing between 6 teams? Or there's something more?

Hi Atlantis I downloaded the demo and you can play a match 5 mins long with 4 teams BRAZIL ITALY ARGENTINA FRANCE in the Diamond Stadium.

Atlantis I went through the game files and noticed there is no CHAMPIONS LEAGUE, no WEMBLEY STADIUM, and there are now no TEAM A TEAM B ect spare teams! but I did see the boot section and theres a picture of 12 boots but will this be used or like before an unused file? also Old trafford is in the game again
 
When are they gonna release a demo attached to a magazine or to buy in shops or something? Anyone know? They do it in Italy but not in UK? WTF?

Also, some peeps are saying that only the next gen versions will be released on the 17th but my order states it will be released on the 17th for PS2 and dispatched that day. Anyone clear this up?

I liked the demo, altough I need more gameplay.

Thanks for the info saintric, I found out myself after downloading :lol:

I also took a look at the files. No CL files anywhere, I hope it is only for the demo...

3d kits are the same model as pes2009 pc version, but with texture, I will make a texture to easily adapt pc kits to ps2.
 
Hi guys. There will be no CL on the PS2 version neither on the PSP version. This has already been confirmed by Konami.

It looks like this year best version will be the PS2 (again) so I might buy this one to play online and with friends and buy the PS3 version to play by myself.

Atlantis! you think you will be making a patch like in the previous years?

How do I burn this game with Nero Burning ROM..?? Which setting shall i use..?? (DVD/CD..?? UDF/ISO or which)..

Please answer as I really want to play this game
 
SL17 its to be burned to a CD if you want to burn it to DVD heres what i did

Extracted the files from ISO with ISOBUSTER

I scanned and patched the files with DVDscanlite 3.7 to make them DVD files

rebuilt the files in the order they showed up in ISOBUSTER using CDdvdGen then saved the iml file

made an ISO out of it with DkZ studio option build ISO

opened up and then Burnt it to DVD-R with Dvd Decrypter at x1 speed
 
Wow, then it's quite disappointing if ps2 version does not have CL mode... I wanted to see the CL ball model...

It is too soon to decide if I will make any editing for pes2009. I'm currently working on pes2008, I'll wait to take a decision ;)
 
Are you working on the PS2 version of PES2008?

Perhaps the ball model is included (not the official one) but the ones that are similar to the official like in previous versions.

HELP ¡¡ I can't do this. What should i put in Disc name, i put SLES 55450 but when i try to save de iml appears this message: "Too short location length. (Less then 600000 sector)"

What can i do?? any help will be appreciate
 
have you just tried burning it to a CD-R? with your normal burning program? or do you need to convert it to dvd-r like me?

you must convert the files in the ISO from CD to DVD-R with DVDScanLite 3.7 first? you must do this as they are CD files originally

then choose Create Dvd on the CDdvdGeN Program? in directory put europe and the SLES 55450? the export iml.

you could put this file wnaspi32.dll in you sony cddvdgen folder this usually resolves this problem you will have to google for the file tho as i dont have it hope this helps

where do you get dvdscanlite? and can u use it with all ps2 games that are actually required to burn on cd r? because my laser is faulty and i also need the action replay for the OF's..

Very thanks saintric, but my ps2 read cds very well and the cd image of the demo that you upload didn´t work for me, it´s wierd, has someone burn it and works well? I´m rebuilding the image right now to make a dvd of the demo.
I open the e_text and the 0_text with ggs and find very very intersting things.
Edit mode: Many of the kit layer of the edit mode finally change; we will can do many of the 08/09 kits much better right now, but I think that much newer templetes are missing too.
In the 2d kits file I was really surprised to find a Sevilla kit, there are 8 spanish teams licensed in the demo, I hope that Sevilla remains in the final version, because they put it of of the final team list, we will see. Another thing, some of the 2d kits are very very similar to the kits that biaz, Atlantis! and some more guys post in the forum, but with less detail, the 2d kits of the forum are far better, but in some cases really seems like konami took the job of the editors, maybe I´m wrong.
In the caps that Atlantis! has uploaded (thanks Atlantis!) we can see that some faces are improved.
The balls are really boring this year again, it´s nice that konami put the Nike Omni ball on the game, but why put the same ball to many times, really few Adidas balls this year (one I think) and the mock balls are terrible like the past year, really hate that balls, totally unrealistic.
Another think, the font and the numbers for the edit mode didn´t seem to have changed, the same as pes 6, bad konami.
The nuumbers and fonts of Liverpool are the premiership ones, Manchester have the Champions League numbers and fonts, really weird again.
I will continue testing the demo and browsing things in GSS, if I found something interesting will post it here.
