How come no one has confirmed what the R2 shot actually does?
Its making me doubt if all these guys actually have the trial versions.

Come on, it probably takes a few minutes to try it all out. But Jide, you said you press R2 after you pressed the shoot-button? But you have to press R2 still before the ball is being hit, haven´t you?

If you don´t mind, could you tell us more about crosses and defensive headers?

I haven´t played a sportsgame online yet. When you say it´s laggy, does it mean that all your commands via the joypad come into the game a few bits of a second later?

Is the gameplay as fast as it is in WE8LE? Are there any slow downs or are the players rushing all the time?

And can you keep the ball at the opponents' half of the pitch or will they take the ball at a nanosecond. In other words can midfielders keep the ball on their feet longer than in WE8LE?

I'm uploading the r2 shot tutorial to my webspace as we speak. I can't get it to work i'm puzzled as to when your supposed to press it but i haven't dwelled on it too long. Regarding headers you can now press the circle button for a longer/bigger header pass. Heading in the game seems better passing wise.

Defensive headers seem the same.
I haven't been able to the new trick i wonder if its even in this build to be quite honest.

Online mode when i mean laggy xbox live pes4 laggy. Animations cut out can't cancel commands but it hasn't been that bad. Its playable but i haven't had a smooth game yet.

hmm in pelaaja-lehtis seabass interview he says they would definetly put more individual running styles in PES and WEs if ps2 had more memory to use. so for ps2 they just choose the best looking ones. but for next gen player moves have more variety.

Yeah as RuneEdge says, the R2 shot should be done by holding R2, and then powering the shot.

Just like the L1 lob has always been.

ive got what i consider to be a much more useful question than players stats lol

can fast players actually run with the ball away from slower players?

Ah, so you do only press R2 after you power it up. Thats interesting.

It still feels like we8le in certain respects i can't explain. I'm sure you guys know what i mean.
What do you mean high curlers as in like beckhams goal against wales ?

in that clip, the 2 players from the same team collide and stumble.

did that happen much in the previous versions?

Can you make any comment on crosses? Can you "control" them more like where they are coming down in the box? If you only press the circle button once is it a sharper cross now again. In PES4 the cross via one-push-circle button was useless.

I was kinda hoping for them too. Maybe if you build the power bar to the top it might.

i saw a high curler from guily in the we9 clip. that was a first time shot tho.

I for one hope the R1 lob is exactly the same as WE8LE. It was only ever meant to be a dink over the keeper, not a fully fledged lob as it was in PES4. It was ruined in that, made lobbing way too easy and not a decent skill anymore, everyone was running around scoring lobs for fun, probably how most of the goals were scored against someone half decent online in PES4. :roll:
It made it nearly as bad as the people that turn on the double tap Square lob in the options, truely aweful. :)

Hopefully its the same as WE8LE or else I'll be disappointed. :(

Yes you can do that the player opens his body. I've done it quite a few times with henry. I was experimenting with the R2 button and the ball becomes a slight float shot in the air.
Its quite tricky to do

The only 3 new teams i recognised were Latvia(Not sure about that one)
Ivory coast?
Venezuela

Problem is there isn't a license for alot of teams. So i can't recognise some club teams.

Liverpool = Rigaloose
I don't mind taking some pics of players stats, but remember this isn't the final build so this could change.
5 players per poster ?

Uploading some more now trying to get the new animations. I'll try some more crossing for the person that asked sorry i haven't ignored you.
