Liverpool expect to have Fernando Morientes back after six games out with a hamstring injury and Mohamed Sissoko may also return after a groin injury.

Harry Kewell and Jerzy Dudek could return soon after long-term problems but Liverpool are likely to keep the team that played Chelsea in Europe.

Chelsea left-back Asier Del Horno is available after coming through a reserve game against Norwich.

John Terry (ankle) and William Gallas (leg) should play despite minor knocks.

LIVERPOOL and Chelsea - the Premiership's only remaining unbeaten clubs - lock horns for the second time at Anfield in four days, and will be expected to turn on a more exciting spectacle than that on display in the Champions League goalless bore draw on Wednesday night - the first time Chelsea had failed to score this season. The European champions go into the game still trailing the pacesetters by 14 points with two games in hand in the highest division, having drawn their last three League games. Indeed the Merseysiders are the Premiership's draw specialists, with four stalemates. They last registered four top flight draws on the spin between 26 November and 18 December 1994. A goalless game with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge was the last in the sequence.

Rafael Benitez' Reds are yet to concede at Anfield in this Premiership season, and have not lost any of the last nine top flight matches in front of the home fans - winning five and drawing four since a 0-1 reverse to Manchester United on 15 January.

The Reds were 'doubled' in the Premiership by Chelsea last season, but they then more than made amends by knocking Chelsea out of the Champions League on their way to the lifting the silverware. Matches between these clubs are always close. There's only been a goal between them at most in the last 11 League and Cup meetings since March 2002.

CHELSEA have set a new winning mark from the start of a Premiership season of seven matches and are chasing Tottenham's top flight record of 11 games achieved in the 1960/61 campaign. The Blues are closing in on Arsenal's unbeaten League record of 49 matches. They've won 30 and drawn six in building a 36 match undefeated string since their only League loss under Jose Mourinho at Manchester City on 16 October last year.

The champions have scored a total of five goals without reply in three Premiership wins on the road this term. They're unbeaten in 13 games in all competitions home and away (11 wins, two draws), and the loss to Liverpool in last season's Champions League semi-final is their only defeat in 18. Luke Moore's goal for Aston Villa at the Bridge last Saturday is the only score to hit the back of the Chelsea net in 687 minutes (11 hours 27 minutes) of Premiership football.

Having not won 11 Premier League visits (losing nine) to Liverpool, Chelsea are now looking to make it three League wins on the bounce at Anfield. They won 1-2 in August 2003 and 0-1 last season.

I just wanted to congratulate you CHelsea fans for this reult, i used to always defend liverpool when they played against you guys, but after what i saw yesterday, you guys deserve to be esctatic !! you deserved it completey !
 
I'll be very surprised if you guys don't win the Championship this year. GO CHELSEA!

Just saw the goals, omg what a game from Drogba, he was in the four goals, pity he didn't score any, but omg, that second goal, what an amazing trick by Drogba, it's gonna be a classic of him!

If Drogba played like that for you guys regular basis he would justify his price tag.

I just hope now he realises he doesn't have to dive all over the pitch and just stick to his game.
 
I think Drogba has bee the best forward for us so far this season. And as his confidence grows hopefully he'll improve. That flick he did was superb. His miskicks weren't :lol: He is certainly showing more commitment this season. Last sason he would just give up. Perhaps it's Hernan waving at him from the bench that drives him on :mryellow:

Would Stevie-G regret not having flown to Madrid when he had the chance? FC Liverpool is just Gerrard, Luis García, Carragher, Riise and one or two more. The rest of the team, especially Traore (what on earth is Rafa thinking?), suck.

Chelsea have a more balanced team. Del Horno and Joe Cole are doing great, Drogba is (at last!) showing his talent, and the Frank-Terry-Makelele triangle builds a very strong formation. I don't see any team in England that's able to match that power. Chelski is, like it or not, #1 at this moment.

WOW. Ten wins in a row is a pretty good record. I wonder if the reason is that Chelsea is way ahead of the rest of the teams, or that the Premiership has four or five powerful teams and the rest are way below them. What's up with United, Arsenal, L'pool, N'Castle...? United are the best among these, and they are ten points behind with just eight games played. That's a hell of a lot having just started the fall...

gerrard sucks lmao funnist comment ive heard, hes far more complete than lampard , pick him for enlgnad any day if i had to chooe, although lampard is a quality player he aint no stevie Gerrard. Now I know why ppl hated man u all thoses years ago, mind u they played attractive football week in week out at that point.Best prem side ever . I love watching ibramovic spend all his money , would love to see what happens if he died(or better yet got found out for his dodgy deals) though need a paddle anyone.

It seems that way although comments like those made by Gallas at the weekend will lead to this becoming a permanant fixture.
