Best moment for Belgium: Mexico 1986 WC semi final and that great match against Russia. The irony is that apart from that one match they played not the best football (and that's an understatement).

Worst moment: the famous David Platt goal at the WC 1990. IMHO Belgium were (for once) one of the most attractive teams in the World Cup. Platt scored that winning goal seconds before going to a penalty kick out. To be fair, contrary to what most people in Belgium believed at the time, England's victory wasn't undeserved. I remember a perfectly valid John Barnes goal being disallowed. Neither of both teams deserved to be eliminated, it was a great match. And so our national team were eliminated too soon in the one tournament where they played attractive attacking football with a great team: Preudhomme - Vander Elst - Scifo - Ceulemans - Degryse - Nillis - Wilmots...
 
I was living above my best friend's pub at the time Prof...we were watching that match with 7 or 8 friends...between the actual playing time and the extra times. My friend closed his pub and took all the people who were inside it to my litle appartment...in the end we watched that match with 18 Belgians, 1 Englishman and two dogs (sounds like a Joe Cocker album). When Platt scored that goal we were hugely frustrated. Our English friend was over the moon but his joyu was somewhat subdued because of our frustration.
I remember that at the time the Belgian television had pundits before, after and at half-time, but besides that they had a mixed studio audience: Belgians and English people who lived in Belgium. There was a mixed Belgian(wife)/English (man) couple that were due to marry each other a couple of weeks later...After the match the Belgian woman was devastated and in the end they fell apart and there was no marriage...it was kind of a famous case at the time...ahh those were the days (old fart).
 
Can we get one Englishman in here? Surely 1966 needs to be in here as a best moment and as far as worst, well that should be interesting to see.......and where's the Scots and the Welsh?????

i was in a field in Manchester Tenenesee, for the first year of a concert gathering called bonaroo... We got there wed night the game was on at 7 am the next morning, we figured there is no way there going to have the USA game on at this festival with 90,000 people in the middle of farmland. Well about 825 am i hear shouts and screams, i start sprinting to one of the tents setup for the venue, adn there you have it SONYs had a tent with a 80 an inch screen setup and there are about 300 people trying to get into this tent to watch the game, i sneak in and the 90 minute tony sanneh misses and open goal with his head, that looked like it had gone in due to the lighting and problems you have with projectors in light, the whole place went nuts, with shouts of USA USA. then we all realized no goal.... Oliver kahn was jesus christ himself that day.... i think that day the USA showed the rest of the wolrd that we can actually compete and we had come along way since 1990...
 
Deportivo - Milan 4-0 - I actually cried after this result... it was appalling by Milan... at least we won the league.
Italy - South Korea 1-2 - Robbed.
Inter - Milan 2-1 (06/07) - The way that bastard Ibrahimovic celebrated. I really dislike that racist dirtbag.
Milan - Juventus 0-1 (05/06) - Respect to Juve, but that game hurt. Del Piero's bicycle kick.
Milan - Liverpool 3-3 - Saw it coming at half time, but 2 decisions were dubious for Liverpool.. ie. Gerrard's dive.
Italy - France 1-2 (2000) - Worst way to lose a game.

Germany-England 1:5, brilliant match
England-Argentina 3:2, what a comeback

Bad:
England-Croatia 2:3, we would have won if we had a decent manager
Holland-England 2:0, KOEMAN YOU DIRTY CHEATING SCUMBAG!!
San Marino-England 1:7, Come on, we conceded in 7.3 secs to SAN MARINO!?

Mladen Rudonja against Romunia in the second game of WC 2002 qualifiers. This was his first ever goal for the national team and I believe it was his 50th cap. He scored only 2 or 3 more.

Darkest: Everything after WC 2002 and it, unfortunately, still lasts. There are rumours spreading over the country that Srečko Katanec might be taking over the team once again, but I highly doubt it.

Every single penalty shootout exit after having goals ruled out for fouls or offsides just moments before the end of the 2nd half of extra time.

that was not worst moment , how can a game in the final be the worst moment ?
rather than that defeat the draw against them in the last WC2006 qualifer was worst but I think the worst moment was the elimination from WC2002 from goal average with Senegal , because the period that followed it was rather bad .

We beat England in their own country and Andres Möller is kidding englands last good Goalkeeper David Seaman. Bierhoff scored the first Golden Goal in footballhistory in the finals.

I was born and raised in London, and thought this was a joke/urban legend when I was growing up.

My parents country of origin, India, and so funny that it still makes me laugh.

Best Moment - 1950 World Cup

India qualifies for it's first, and only, world cup.

Worst Moment - 1950 World Cup

India withdrew because FIFA would not let them play in bare feet.
