It's not about being resistant to change but we're not going to add something for the sake of it. While I don't think it'll start arguments it really won't add much to the forums. As has already been mentioned the editing forum is the one possible exception. I'll look into finding a decent modification.

There are a few forum upgrades that need installing first anyway so nothing will happen for a few weeks as I'm away this weekend.

And AVF and hexus. net. works on many websites that have this feature and im yet to see a website that has this feature and see it being abused or not used at all
 
yea thats true but there is a editing part here and is the most popular part of this forum and as someone suggested, maybe having a thanks button in that section would be appropriate

Do mods even check the editing section?

I was browsing through there and thinking to myself, what if one of these threads about, something like, Turkish football kits was really a thread with people posting up pictures of nude women and sharing out porn movie links.

There are a lot of threads in the editing section that only people of a certain kind would check. Like, an Egyptian Football league kits thread...only people from Egypt would probably go into that thread. What if that thread then turned into a thread full of pictures of butt naked women and people posting full downloads to porn movies! :SHOCK:

Do mods actually check these threads to see what's going on?

yea and it has the most posts and topics out of all the sections in evo web. you have got to be blind to to notice it :BOP:

look on the main front page of this forum and see how many posts in total are in the editing section. its fucking HUGE mate

Thanks for that Jonney, in all my years as an Admin I never saw that section of the site... :ROLL:

I actually closed that section when I lost my admin role as I didn't have to go there anymore

Never heard that expression before.....but I like it.

Maybe the thanks button can be in the shape of some mashed potatos with a penis in it? to the untrained eye it will just look like sausage mash - but we will all know its a penis and we can laugh about it and start up a secret society and then eventually take over the world? - just a suggestion, then it will be much MUCH more than a Thank you button.
