WHAT IS YOUR GRAPHIC SETTINGS

Yeah, Game playing smoothly and then the chants start, frames start to stutter and then they really start suffering as the chant gets louder, frames then go back to normal when the chant is finished.

I have a pretty low spec machine so perhaps it's cpu related.

Hi

I am quite new to PC gaming. BUt I have a HTPC which I would like to play games with as well. With that in mind my spec is reasonable but not brilliant...

AMD x2 4200+
powercolor (ATI) HD 4770 512GDDR5
2GB RAM
ASUS KGAM2 Motherboard.
Vista x86 (32BIT) ultimate

Now I have manged to successfully play Need for speed 2 with no graphical or game flow problems.

But when play PES 2010 I cannot seem to get the game to flow perfectly as it would on a PS3 or Xbox.

My PC is connected to a Philips 47PFL7603D LCD screen via HDMI.
I have the latest 9.12 ATI drivers.

When playing PES 2010 the graphics are nice and sharp and vibrant, but seem to suffer from slight tearing or slight jerky movement when moving around with the payers.
I ahve tried enabling and De-enabling V sync in the settings. as well as frames skipped. But that did not resolve the issue. I have tried different resolutions but I think my screens native resolution is 1360 x 768 which seems to best one to use in the settings. But i still suffer from that slight trearing problem. Any ideas or suggestions would most appreciated.

Hi I would just like to post the solution I eventually found for overcoming these problems. Firstly tearing in LCD or plasma screens via HDMI is very common and an HDMI signal via a computer is not the same as that of a say a blu ray player.

Firstly I found the only reolution I could play with is 1280 x 720 (720p) this resolved the issue of tearing completley and the motion of the game is now very smooth. THe stuttering has also gone with the V sync and frame skip options both ticked. This also need to be on in your graphics cards settings (Or you D3Doverrider) to make sure they are on.

The game is now totally playable with no issues. I noticed that the stutter I did get from the game was due to process in the background which took up some of my CPU. If you do not have an ultra powerful processor this could be a reason for stutter. I stopped any non neccessary process and the game now runs smooth as silk.

Hope this helps...............:BOP:

First of all i think that the problem a lot of people are having is WINDOWS 7 + PES compatibility with certain Nvidia cards. I am experiencing the same problems as those people, jerky performance and since upgrading to driver 195.62 WHQL i also lost the option to go beyond 1280X720 resolution!

This is a link to my thread where i describe everything:

http://forums.evo-web.co.uk/showthread.php?t=56874

I have literally tried everything:

  • Ingame settings - Vsync/Frameskipping (tried everything)
  • Juce LOD mixer settings
  • D3Doverrider
  • Gamebooster
  • Compatibility mode
  • Driver downgrading
  • Modified drivers
  • reinstalls game, drivers (DirectX) and OS

Turning off background processes:

General processes and programs (anti-virus/Firewall)

My trustworthy XP runs this game fluently:

938591.png

GPU Type : NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT
GPU Clocks : Core 600 MHz / RAM 900 MHz
DirectX Version : 11.0

My current OS:

Windows 7 Ultimate X64 rapes the game performance in this specific game! It could be the wrong combination CPU/GPU/OS/Drivers who knows?

I never used to have any issues on XP with the same setup.......

Furthermore games that are graphically more intense then PES like Resident Evil 5 and Left4Dead 2 RUN AWESOME.

I have read my butt off on the web and i see tons of people with mainly NVIDIA GPU's having issues with games on WIN7. I am considering either a dual boot WIN7/XP or uninstall of WIN7.

Hi guys,
Can someone recommend me the best video settings, cause I have one little problem with the graphics. From time to time the game starts to lag a lot for a few seconds and it's really annoying.
Here's my configuration:
Dell XPS M1530 laptop
CPU: Intel Dual Core T9300 2.5Ghz 6MB cache
RAM: 4GB
GPU: GeForce 8600GT 256 RAM
HDD: 250GB
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit
Video drivers: 195.81
External monitor ASUS with resolution 1280-1024 75Hz

In my opinion the problem is coming from the patch I installed. SMPatch 3.9
I think the graphics from it make the game a little bit more heavy for my video card.
What do you guys think?
