I Travel.
This is the thread for Stadium Assignment!

This correctly assigns the appropriate stadiums for all teams in the game (no the Copa and International teams yet but all European teams :) )

(this isn't finished as you can see, so bear with me. Stadium names aren't final is if you want better names just ask :), also I'm unsure what sponsors and features to put in every stadium so that's why the look generic atm!)

thanks man thats a great idea,i wasnt planning on making specific stadiums for teams instead il make stadiums for leagues

the list i have is for the 20 created stadiums to be as follows

what i need to get are the default addboards for each league stadium

I'm working on creating 1 or two generic stadiums for the teams in question, a generic, Pizjan looking one for Valencia, Getafe and Sevilla and maybe creating Atletico's stadium!

@ goalgerd I have a shitload of adboards and graphics i'll upload, back from FIFA 07 pc editing :)

Also only one Dutch stadium is needed man :) just create a small stadium suitable for the teams i listed, also create a generic small modern one (similar to Swansea's stadium) Which can be used in may different leagues :)

*update made a stadium i call Estadio Cultural which looks pretty good for those teams, i would like to make the proper Mestlla and Calderon but ii need to see if there's enough space :)

I play La Liga mostly, so I hope someone gets to work on the Spanish stadia. Might try some myself.

WENB say they've made a Mestalla, so if that's possible it should be easy enough to make Vicente Calderon - they're pretty similar except for the one stand. Getafe is going to be the tough one. Very weird looking stadium which probably won't be possible to make. Shame they took out the old... what was it called? The PS2 stadium that looked just like Real Sociedad's stadium with the diagonally-placed adboards on concrete behind the goal.

Serie A is probably going to be the easiest, as so many clubs just have the same kind of big open bowl.

I love la liga! yes, if you look on youtube a guy who got the game early made about 10 stadiums which looked great, Puzjan, Mestilla, Calderon, San Mames etc.. will be easy to make, but i made a generic one which will be good for now.

Getafe's stadium is pretty strange but the generic one i made is ok for now.

Ok, well Villa, West Ham, Blackburna nd Liverpool will be fine with Rose Park, VERY english stadium, looks very simsilar to villa park/upton park :)

Stadium de Sagittare is a good generic modern type stadium for Bolton, Stoke etc..

What is essential is a small English style one yes :) Also for Sunderland, City etc.. make a generic modern stadium which can be used in all leagues :)

I'm being super conservative atm becasue I'm trying t cater for every single team in the game.

for french teams we can use english stadiums as lyon st ettiene lens rennes montpellier they all have english style grounds, with the other teams like bordeaux lille psg monaco toulouse all have running tracks around them

ATM i have 13 generic stadiums which pretty much covers all the european clubs :)

I think a list of another 7 Essential stadiums for specific teams:

Stanford bridge
White Hart Lane
Mestailla
Veladrome (well use this for Getafe aswell :)
Siganl Una Park
Calderon

That's six, can't think of another! Any ideas?

Yes, you can, you can make South American ones! I think We could easily used one of the generic ones as the La Bombanera! You could still use some of the generic ones i've made for them aswell :) Like Eastern stadium, castle stadium, diverse open.

Just focusing on the European ones for now since that's what desperately needs updating :LOL:

i should have my game tomorrow ,theres a strange way of adding the addboards to pes 2011 ,to get 3 different types you have put the 1st one in blank then the next one in over it the the 3rd one in over that,think its done like the kit layers,im not explaining it very well

The wall design is the standard ad-boards around the tiers. There are repeated throughout the entire stand. i.e. 4 stands in total would mean 4 ad-boards repeated throughout all tiers.

Fencing 1 is the bottom fence which runs along the ground in front of the ground ad-boards. You can use fencing to display more ad-boards. When fencing is used, these images are put infront of the wall design ad-boards.

Transparency can be used amongst these images. You will see in a video (that I am currently uploading) that if you used correctly, you can use the fencing as another form of ad-boarding. Allowing you to add different ad-boards to every tier of the stand instead of having to use just one wall design per stand.

The background is devised up of two images, these images run from half-way line round the back stand to the other half way line. The max dimensions of these are 1024x256.

Current stadiums can not be edited it seems apart from changing names.

The electronic boarding which is seen on all stadiums is added automatically to edited stadiums. These can't be edited

All the ad-boards can be used in the wall design slot. But this means they're repeated on all tiers throughout the stand. So what I'm suggesting is to edit them so that there is transparency below and above them so that they can be used in the fencing slots

There are two ways to import images onto the tiers, either through the wall or fencing methods.

The dimensions of the walls are 1024x128px which is a very good size of an ad-board. However these wall images are repeated throughout the entire stand. Each tier consists of 12 full-size ad-boards.

The dimensions of the fencing is 512x256px. These are repeated just throughout a single tier, and the tier holds I believe 22/24 of these images.

After some testing I've found out that wall can not hold transparency because there seems to be a default white coloured ad-board behind the image. I found this out as I wanted to put two ad-boards into the 1024x128 slot.

The fencing can hold transparency, the best method of this is to have the actual ad-board 512px in width and around 70px in height. With transparency above and below the ad-board. However because its half the width of the wall, it means it only looks right with one ad-board.

the "wall" images which are seen on the bottom/ground. Are 1024x128

And the "fencing" which are on the other tiers have a total height of 256, but i only use the middle 70px

Thanks klashman. Was thinking of doing a few stadiums now myself seeing that I've saved myself time with the wenb-20 patch. Need to research sponsors for this years EPL etc however as haven't really been paying attention.
 
I think what really messes up the stadium editor is the proximity to the pitch on stadiums that gets a bit large in size. If you are to create for instance White Hart Lane, it won't even look half like its real life counterpart, because the stands are miles away from the pitch, when proximity to the pitch is really one of the trademarks of for instance White Hart Lane, and many other British stadiums in particular.

I've chosen Bernabeu as the default for Spurs, because of the proximity to pitch and the blue seats. When playing, I think that is the stadium where you get the most feeling you are actually watching a game at White Hart Lane (keeping in mind that the only time you really see the whole stadium is on the intro and on replays with strange camera angels).

What settings are you reffering to? If you change the pitch layout it won't change a thing with the stands, they will still be too far away from the actual playing surface. The grass of the pitch might be extended a bit beyond the ad boards, but the stands will still be metres behind the goal, for instance. Unless you have found some secret setting that I'm not seeing, of course (I sure hope you have!). :)

What kind of stadium has that distance from the stands to the pitch? Maybe some silly Italian clubs with running tracks on the or something similar, but you can't find a single English stadium with that distance, looks really silly when playing, in my opinion, really wrecking the atmosphere (the example is supposed to be from the incredibly intimate White Hart Lane).

Thanks Klashman, this is all I need for stadiums. Hopefully we get a stadium server this year and we get real stadiums. Meanwhile this are awesome, I appreciate the work.

My one gripe with the editor is that you cant have stadiums with running track, and the main stand has to have a roof.
