Firefox 3: Set a Guinness World Record

The address bar is slightly different in how it works, that's the only change I can think of off the top of my head. I'm sure it's better in other ways but nothing really stands out.
 
It's faster, it has much less memory leaks, the adress bar is alone worth it and bookmarks are better organizaed.

I'm already using version 3 RC1 and I already pledged.


Oh and ash, there is Safari for Windows. The only thing that it's better than FF is that is slightly faster, and is better for downloading Porn. :D
 
safari is rubbish. tim loves his apple stuff hehe. im using firefox 3 now also. sweet but doesnt work well in online banking hsbc
 
Safari is the best internet browser available. FACT.

And I have no strong feelings for either Microsoft or Apple, I just use what works for me.

Coopz you need to use it to understand it.

Put it simple, once you get used to it, you can't live withtout it.

simply put, when you type on the adress bar, let's say "evo" it will search through your history and bookmarks and show websites that have that in their name. And It learns. It might not show first the index of evo-web at first but as you use it, it will show first what you use the most. It's pretty simple but very handy IMO. :)

also can bookmark an icon from the adress bar, and RSS from there too.

My main reason to using FF over Safari is tabs. I prefer the way it works on FF.

There are tabs in Safari... Same as Firefox, just press CTRL + T and a new tab appears :)).

Also, the address bar, this is already happening in Safari!
 
Ill download this when its out but wont be installing it for a few weeks so they can catch up with the addons

Safari has tabs... It also has private browsing mode that was probably made for porn surfers. It doesnt record anything you surf when its on. Safari is also more stable, I used to use Firefox all the time but I always had memory leaks or crashes.

I'm talking about Safari on mac.

It opens some links in a new window instead of a new tab. One as to press some key (CTRL?). There is no option like "open all links in a new tab". Annoying as fuck. Unless of course they added that option in some update. I used Safari right when it was released for Windows. (not the beta).
Other reasons to prefer FF:

- Safari doesn't show the icons of the websites on the favs. (It should, like FF)
- The extensions on FF like, Adblock (there is, I think for Safari), BetterGmail2, Stylish.

And guys, don't use these Firefox ad-block plugins. Check out AdMunch, its bloody great! Stops EVERYTHING, and uses like 4MB of RAM :DANCE:

Yeah, I'm really ahting Firefox taking up so much memory these days, so I use as few plugins as I can.

Try it out :)
