Such a sexy brilliant man :WORSHIP:

So looks like we're signing 19 year old Gabriel Jesus from Palmeiras, heralded by many as the next big thing of Brazil. Reports suggest a 32m Euro package all in all - probably made up of add ons.

It's both exciting and a little worrying that we're buying quite a few players for the future rather than players who are certain to improve the starting 11 right now.

£26m - Gabriel Jesus, 19 - teenager, won't be at the club until December
£8m - Marlos Moreno, 19 - teenager and may be loaned out
£4m - Geronimo Rulli, 23 - Won't be at the club until 2018
£1.7m - Oleksander Zinchenko, 19 - teenager and may be loaned out

That's quite a bit of the budget on young players who even if they are in the squad this season aren't likely to make a huge impact.

Nolito is a good player but a squad player.
Gundogan is a great signing who instantly improves our first 11.

Even the likely signings of Stones and Sane are young players who whilst exciting don't obviously improve our starting 11 right now, tho Stones does fit the Pep profile over Mangala.

I trust Pep on the players he wants. I just hope we manage to get a Bonucci or a Kroos in as well to obviously improve the team immediately.

No chance of Bonucci if Pogba goes, even if he doesn't very unlikely.

Aleix Garcia could become the next Kroos. Such a classy player. Only just turned 19 tho so would love Kroos to join and take him under his wing.

Few positive signs from preseason under the new manager. The youngsters have done well, esp. A.Garcia (DM), Angelino (LB) and Maffeo (RB).
Today we played 352 in the first half (Navas looked decent at WB - Clichy not so much) and a 442 diamond with the front 2 quite wide at times and Silva almost as a false 9, before moving back to 352 just before the goal.
I do worry we might go into the season undercooked tho. I thought 4 friendlies wasn't much but atm we're only going to be playing 3.

On the transfer front Marlos Moreno confirmed last night, after winning the Copa Libertadores with Atlético Nacional, that he was signing for us. He will join Deportivo on loan for the season. According to Tim Vickery he hasn't been as excited about a young S. American since Aguero, Sanchez and Neymar. Not a bad punt for £8m

It also looks like Stones and Sane will be confirmed in the next few days and G.Jesus is said to have his heart set on working with Pep, he will likely join in Dec/Jan after the Brazil league is over.

Lots of young talent at the club already with plenty joining.

Having watched Caballero today passing the ball straight to BVB players I expect we will pay Barca what they want for Bravo. Angus Gunn looks like a future ballplaying GK but he's too young atm.

Would like 1 more starter to be signed before Aug 31

according to Arsenal's GM we`re skint lol love how you confidently throw names and the near days for announcement .Must be niouce!

Dunno why Arsenal are so tentative. They have lots of money.

Sign a ST and I fancy you to be champions. Xhaka is one of the best signings of the summer and you have a very good settled team elsewhere.

Off topic with Arsenal but Mahrez will be excellant, its not often you sign the league winners best player and not improve.

there`s always that one hit wonder season though right? Wenger really likes Chuba Iwobi . Mahrez would delay his progress or worse Iwobi could finish Mahrez career like he did Theo.

:OT:Theo is so shit he doesn`t even belong in the premier, or his confidence been stripped and salvaged.

@Godotelli I didnt really know this Xhaka but seeing just a little of him in friendlies he`s like a deep player maker (long ball passer specialist ) that shoots like Essien.

We were linked with him for a while before he went to Arsenal so I did my scouting on him :)

He reminds me of a mix between Alonso and Matic (when he was good). Hardman but with an excellent pass. Wish we had got him tbh. Him, Gundogan and Silva in CM would have been a lovely mix :...

Should be a good signing, all feedback is really positive about Sane.

City's getting kinda overloaded in attacking positions though no? With Jesus on his way too? Pep going to move one of Silva/KdB etc back into CM somehow?

I think Sterling will work well in Pep's system, so definitely feels like something has to give.

Yea we're stocked with AM/wingers now and in the near future

(age descending order)
Navas, Silva, Nolito, Nasri, De Bruyne, Sterling, Sane, Moreno, Zinchenko, G.Jesus, Roberts.

- Navas might leave. Not sure yet as he has played Wingback in preseason (and looked decent there). Sevilla want him back.
- Silva, I suspect, will play CM
- Nasri might leave. Dunno.

- G. Jesus won't join until Jan at the earliest. I reckon he's eventually a ST
- Zinchenko might go on loan. Has looked promising in preseason
- Moreno is going on loan to Deportivo
- Roberts is at Celtic until the summer

We've played 4-3-3 and what looked like a 3-1-4-1-1 in preseason so my guess would be

KDB Aguero Sane
Gundogan Silva
Dinho/Stones

Aguero
KDB
Sane Gundogan Silva Navas?/Dinho?/Sterling?
Dinho/Stones
Otamendi Kompany Stones/Dinho

Who knows really? Part of the fun is going to be guessing the team Pep picks each week.

Dunno. He might have a little resurgence as an impact sub? I dunno how Pep is gonna setup the team nevermind use Yaya.

He might even be CB on Saturday considering we have no CBs atm!

Ha, that's strong stuff.

I'm not convinced by Stones personally, but maybe in a decent team he'll look better. Seems to create 1 or 2 chances a match...for the other team.

But I signed him for the fantasy team before transfer...and Williams. Nice.

Stone been on the wanted list for 2 seasons. Mou was up in arms for missing out on him. He should of been a Chelsea player. Anyhow, looks like Chelsea will take Mahrez away lol. Who said CL is needed these days  Pogback ,Kante, etc

He's what we need and we're what he needs.

Anyone who has seen us in preseason will know how uncomfortable our (fit) CBs and GKs have looked playing from the back at goalkicks. We gave Arsenal 2 free goes at goal just from them and it was the same vs BVB.

I don't put much stock in his performances in the last 12 months. His head wasn't at Everton and he had the fraud Martinez coaching him. He will have the best to learn from now and the player is clearly absolutely delighted with the move.

Kinda surprised in a way Mou didn't go for Stones (maybe he did and had to give up who knows). Bailly has looked promising for us but is more of a madman like Stam or Vidic rather than a relatively calm Stones. This season truly has the chance to become something drool worthy. Can't wait for FIFA 17 to come out haha.

I'm part of a closed City fan group and the guy who runs it gets info from the club from time to time.

Last week he said that Pep had told Hart that he is not in his plans (due to distribution). Hart was gutted but it was agreed that he would remain until next summer and use his testimonial as a farewell game.

A few days ago, before the media, he posted that Caballero would be starting vs Sunderland today.

Today he has posted that there has been a falling out and Hart has been told to find a new club this summer. The transfer of Ter Stegen has been agreed with Barca and will be completed within the next week or 2. Hart may not even be on the bench today.

He has also stated that Ante Coric to City is done.

He has got a lot of stuff right so I am inclined to believe him.

If this does happen I'll be sad to see Hart go but Guardiola should be backed 110% imo. If he's not happy with the distribution skills of our GKs - and preseason it was evident our GKs can't cut it - then so be it. Ter Stegen is the best I've seen in terms of distribution so he would be a great signing. I hope we haven't paid his release clause tho!
