the x800 i had stopped working for some reason (prolly fried although its fan works it displayed black and white images then stopped showing anything) . now am searching for a good agp graphics card cost ranging around 100-200 that can last a decent amount of time playing latest games with no problems, cheers!

its pci express, you wont get an agp card that will run the latest games stunningly, the best you can hope for is an ati 1950pro, which is a good card, but wont run the games coming out in the next 12months perfectly.

whats the difference between pci-express and agp? i see that most pci express cards are cheaper then agp

its a faster slot on newer motherboards, basically AGP cards are rarer these days so more expensive

yes i was thinking if getting a pci mobo is a better deal or just to buy a good agp but i guess ill just save for a pci mobo and get a decent videocard.

Save for a PCIe mainboard and get yourself a core2duo and a 8800GT, should run most things spot on for the next 12months or so.
