Pro Evolution Soccer 5 ‘Nets online modes!

Konami of Europe’s best-selling football title to feature full online compatibility across all formats

Konami of Europe has confirmed that all versions of the European versions of its eagerly-awaited Pro Evolution Soccer 5 will feature full online play.

Due for release in October, online play has been high on the agenda of the series' many fans and Producer Shingo 'Seabass' Takatsuka has delivered in the game's newest incarnation. Already regarded as the definitive footballing simulation, the PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC-DVD versions of Pro Evolution Soccer 5 will all offer full online play for up to four players simultaneously, while the PSP™ (PlayStation®Portable) game, which will be released shortly after, will feature wireless connectivity for multi-player action.
The PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC-DVD versions will allow matches against either one or two-players, and will also facilitate leagues between friends from all over the world. "We are delighted that Pro Evolution Soccer 5 is heading online," commented Hans-Joachim Amann, Head of Product Management for Konami of Europe. "Sports games are ideal online fare, and we have worked hard to ensure that the skill and playability of Pro Evolution Soccer 5 have not been compromised in its multi-player online modes."

this means we can play 2vs2 online?
 
you can only play 2vs2 when you are using two xboxes, not four. So if there are two teams of two players than each team of two player is sharing one xbox. If tomx and shojin would want to play a few friendlies against only1tevez.... than tomx and shojin would have to be in the same room.

But it's still gonna be great fun if you have a friend that likes to play pes and does not live far away from you (and if there is no lag ofcourse).
 
We're in the PC forum. ;)

The same will most likely apply to the PC version as well, 2vs2 means two players on each PC.
