PES 2009: PS2 to PC ? (probably dumb question)

I wonder since the PS2 is an old console by now, if it's possible to run a kind of emulator on your pc to play pes 2009 ps2 on the pc. I know about some emulators but I dont know if they will work and if they can go online like with PSX emulators.

If that would be possible then it would be a great thing for the pc gamers IMO.

Maybe some guys who are really handy with these things can make this (I know it's very difficult to do but with the help of the whole community we can do great things)

I don't know if this is illegal, I dont think it is if you buy the original game and play it on your pc.

So my question is: Can we make this or is this impossible?
 
There is pcsx2, but it's not perfect and you need a very good pc to run it at full speed.
 
ok thanks, is there also network possibilty? To set up like an evo-web network and play against eachother. That would be awesome!
I assume that pes 2009 ps2 looks like the 'old' pes? pes 3,4,5 and 6?
