Is there anyway to preserve you master league file when you download a new option file, as new option files kinda wreck the master league beacuse of the players changing etc

No I don't think there is any way to do this. How can you cater for all the changes in players and squad positions? Don't think it's possible. Always start a new ML with a new option file or don't get new files.

That's why there are more than one OF because people want different things from them..... Try to pick an OF that's likely to be updated that way you wont have that problem!! Look for OFs from people who are long term members and have a history of patching etc...

only thing you can do is back up your old option file and use it when you play master league

Depends on what changes are made, player signings dont change in your ML file. So if you want to continue playing your ml then you can. Its mostly team kits, player stats etc that change from outside the ML to inside the ML. If thats what you are on about?
