My review on the FIFA 10 PC demo!

There are some major improvements.

Focusing mainly on the positive sides of the game!!

The ball physics are excellent, much, much better than 09 in my opinion, its moving more realistically.

Player movement, not at all 360 degrees, its infact more like 16/32 way movement. Nore could I see any 360 degree defensive movement.

Much improved crossing, low powerful shots. I can cross to the penalty box now a lot more accurately compared to 09.

The slide tacking is more responsive, that's a really good sign. When I press the button on my Xbox 360 pad it instantly reacted to the button pressed, unlike 09 sometimes there was delay.

The players switching, impressive, I can now switch to whomever I want immediately without having to continuously press the button repeatedly (09 was frustrating in that part).

Penalties, improved, don't know how to describe it. I gave a penalty to my opponent and I can see that when I am the goalie, the camera is facing towards the player, which is another good improvement compared to 09. When I try to save the penalty, it gives you that impression that your the goal keeper!

No more stamina bug!!! Glad that's over.

Super nice menu looks like HD.Really like the sound system, the click noise is much nicer.

Loved the fact that after getting sent off with the goal keeper I was able to substitute with any of the player I wanted!!! That's a great improvement, well its a small improvment but an extremely important one though.

In 09 it was different because the CPU setted the keeper to a any defender. But now we can select to make sure that the stronger defenders doesn't turn to the keeper.

Well impressive aerial battles, that's for sure. I can see that the players are battling for the ball moving their bodies from one another, which is a good sign, compared to 09 where they only collided with each other.

By the way, no more collision problems!! I may be wrong, but when I played a few matches I did not see any collision problems such as players colliding with each other, which is also a great to see.

Another improvement I see is that the linesmen does point the flag towards the direction, whether a throw in to the opposition or not. That's a good improvement.

When scoring goals also the ball went past like a ground shot, which is something I liked. I can control the power of the shot. The power meter is much better looking, has that graphical appearence of fire when the power meter is full bar.

Great to see that you can score goals through the cross key, not just with the shoot button.

I like the new 3D radar, much better looking than 09. The scoreboard is also better.

Improved counter system. There's a display of a clock, something like an alarm clock which is a good thing.

Much better animations than before. Players showing anger at each other when the player makes a poor shot/cross, etc

Graphics, they are better than the screenshots seen, I am playing it on 1920x1200 resolution everything maxed out.

That's it for now.

Nice review BlaZiNgSPEED.

Do you think it's a big improvement over FIFA 09 on PC then?

Well its certainly better than 09, but not graphically.
But gameplay, yes, I would say it is better than you would've first imagined.
There are some nice additional features.

But I will be playing the PES 2010 demo too and decide which one of these are better.

Did you prefer PES 2009 on PC to FIFA 09 on PC?
Nope, I preferred FIFA 09 infact. I hate PES 2009, strikers ran like zig-zag past defenders and boom score lol. Players running like ice skaters, not realistic they didn't run like human beings. online lagged horribly. Only the graphics were good to my eyes, still not excellent though.

I only liked PES 5 and 6 these were the best footy games on the PC, better than even FIFA 10 PC demo!:SMUG:
But I am a PC gamer not because of FIFA and PES that's for sure.:D

If PES 2010 remains almost the same as PES 2009 then I would prefer FIFA 10.

Although I am still considering whether its worth the buy. If PES 2010 shows a dramatic improvement like the old days of PES 5/6 than I won't buy FIFA 10 on PC but I will buy PES 2010 straight away if it impresses me.

Cos there are a lot of better games coming out in November such as AC2, COD MW2, Resident Evil 5 (which is coming soon in a few days on 18th September on PC)
So really I am thinking carefully before splashing cash, lol.

But if it wasn't for Crysis, COD4, other FPS games, I would've bought a Console long, long ago.
The thing is, I wouldn't buy a Console just to play FIFA NG.:))
Considering that most of the other games rock on the PC.

I'd rather play PES2008 than FIFA10 on PC. Bad animations, slow response times, crowds exactly like those you'd find on PS2 PES games. This is just FIFA09 with 16 way movement added which is pretty bad as FIFA09 on PC is just FIFA07 with a few extra graphical improvements.

FIFA on PC will always be bad until they port the 360 version. Even a bad 360 port would at least be an improvement on this. Which is a shame as the 360 and PS3 versions of FIFA10 sound fantastic.

FIFA10 will probably be better than PES2010 but on PC, PES wins hands down.

well after reading your review i already like fifa 10 pc... i think those improvements are so important... can't wait for full version.

can someone tell as minimum and requred pc spec? it's on the "readme" file...

first reactions i saw on few forums are so bad... people say this version if fifa is even worse than 09 in visuals...

Another couple of nice touches are that you can select the set piece taker on the fly now instead of going through the menu and the quick free kick feature is a good option.
Its looking good so far.
