Ok, well I want to build a PC I have an option for either XP or VISTA. What shall I choose?
As far as I know I can play Direct X 10 games on VISTA but can't do it on XP. >:(
So anyone who has VISTA could you please tell me what performance does it give. I heard that it was very buggy and come blue splash screens is that true? And does it happen quite often?

And if so which VISTA is better basic or premium?

Thx

I agree, XP. My brother's computer uses Vista and its a pain in the ass to use compared to XP. XP is also very stable now after the service packs.

But I was going to plan to build a gaming PC. And some games like shadowrun and halo 2 do not run on XP. Plus VISTA has directx 10 functionality. If i build a PC like that would VISTA be a good choice??:EMB:

I thought MS backtracked and were bringing out DX10 for XP as well?

No they won't its all business now. People are forced to get Vista to play DX 10 games in its wonderful graphics. Games like Shadowrun or HALO2 need VISTA if you try to install and run it on XP it just won't work.
