Groundhog Day Bug

I'm just finishing my first season in Masterleague on the PS2 and I'm now stuck playing my first preseason game over and over again. I've tried playing it 5 times and, afterwards, I have one week of negotiations and then I'm back to the previous week again. Has anybody come across this? Is there a way to fix it?

suprised no ones picked up on this i heard it on another forum aswell i think!? hmm i might just not play pre season games then
