A national hunt is underway to unearth Australia’s undiscovered football talent as FOX8’s hot new series, FOOTBALL SUPERSTAR, kicks off on June 19 at 7.30pm AEST, exclusive to FOXTEL.

The 8-part series is the only Australian television program of its kind with the winner walking off the pitch with a season long contract with Sydney FC youth team alongside a scholarship with Macquarie University.

Hosted by Irish singer/songwriter (and football fanatic) Brian McFadden and co-hosted by former Matildas player, AMY TAYLOR, the locally produced series follows 15 talented young footballers as they vie for a chance to land the coveted contract.

Try-outs were held around Australia, with 50 hopefuls aged 16-21 years chosen from a pool of incredible talent. Of these, 15 will be selected to live in a state-of-the-art mansion and go on to face challenges both on and off the field.

Each week, the finalists are eliminated by an expert judging panel lead by head judge, Sydney FC Manager John Kosmina, as they decide which player could be worthy of progressing to a professional football career – and to be anointed Australia’s first FOOTBALL SUPERSTAR.
