Entry Level Display Card for PES5

I have downloaded the demo and the system requirements seem almost the same as PES4. Anyway, it can run on my GF MX440SE and Athlon 1600+ on 640x480 but it's a bit choppy. I'd like to know what display card upgrade will be a good choice. In particular, I'd like to know what (cheap) AGP display card can play it smoothly for resolutions 1024x768 and 1280x720 (in case I buy a LCD monitor). ATI 9550? GF6200A? GF6600? I'm not playing any other PC game right now.

Thanks.

my card is nvidia geforce fx5200 and it runs as smoot as it can get on any options you may configure i run it on 1024*768 and high graphics and the card it self is very cheap i live in egypt it is 350 egyption pounds
that make's it about 50 to 60 dollars tops i hope i helped mate

id go for a 6600GT or a normal 6600 pretty decent card at a decent price and you'll be able to run PES5 without too much hassle at all.

yep, try 6600GT cos it's a good choice not only for PES but also for other games and it's rather cheap for the quality it gives...

I'm surprised that GF5200 can also play the game at 1024x768. Some thinking for me to do in the coming month. Thanks all. :)

So, you must have "FX5200 Incredible Edition" eh?
OF COURSE. FX5200 can hardly play the game at 640x480 medium..

The best choice is the 6600 no doubt.

Belevie me: NEVER get a 5200.

actually pes5 doesnt require high end gfx cards to run properly... i tink a gforce fx5200 would be enough, or radeaon 9600/9800 if u have some extra cash

it's not as bad as you say.. I've got a FX5200 (128Mb) and both pes4 and pes5 demo run smooth @ 800*600!! both medium and high detail run good, there's no difference..

but mate, it's quite impossible to play @ 1024*768.. my graphic card would rather throw itself out of the window than let me play pes4 @ 1024*768l!!

:) it's not a bad choice anyway if you're looking for an entry-level graphic card, but I think I'm buying a 6600 next month..

depends on how much cash you're willing to spend, but the 6600GT has the best price/performance ratio in the market right now. (I got own a few months back and it's great)

The PES games are not that GPU hungry, an ATI 9600/X600 would also do the job I guess

ive got a GeForce 6200 256mb and the graphics aint a problem at all it looks sweet and the game runs perfect except the problem i have is sound , the sound every now and again has a slight lag , for example when i kick the ball 2 secs later i hear the sound of it being kicked.

It only does this maybe twice every game , is there a way to sort it and no smartarse say turn the sound off plz.

Are you running just the on board soundcard because if so I recommend you buy a proper soundcard and that will sort any audio lag out.

I also have some sound delay with PES4 every now and then, and I'm indeed using onboard sound card. I just thought it's internet related and never tried to fix it.

my system is a gf 256mb 6600gt amd sempron 3000+ 2gig of ram and it runs sweet as anything on max res and graphics the 6600gt is a great card as i can run halflife at max res and highest quality and doom 3 at 1152x864 on high graphic settings and this is an agp card .... so i rec the 6600gt bang for buck....if u r looking for 1 go on to ebay there r plenty there new and used

I've got Gigabyte R9550 overclocked to R9600 and PES5 demo runs perfectly - 60FPS. I bought it for 46€ and I'm really pleased from performance.
It'd be cheapest way to run PES5 smoothly on your comp.

As long as you have the refresh rate locked to 60Hz using a tool like Refresh Force then even a lower end video card will suffice. Remember that this is a direct port from the PS2 so anything like a GF3 and up should play it quite well. Oh and also make sure you have vsync forced on in your graphics drivers as well.
