What the hell?!!? Qatar one of the smallest nations and like a tiny little brother to Iran now have 4 CL spots?!!?

How many do we, 3 or 2?!!? And Korea is far superior!

2 Iranian teams in the group stage, another two in the play-offs, which are now significantly harder as they've bumped teams from Iran and Saudi Arabia down into the playoffs to free up space for those extra Qatari teams which are direct in the groups.

They said they were going to reform it to make it more open and balanced, but the whole thing is an exercise in smoothing the way for Qatari football. There are 4 Uzbeck teams in it, the Uzbeck teams are generally strong, but 2 will be in the group stage for West Asia, 1 in the play off for West Asia, and one will be in the play off for East Asia, in other words they'll shunt an Uzbeck into the wrong geographic pool to make way for Qatari teams.

There are no Indian teams, no Vietnamese, no Malaysian and only one Indonesian team (and a playoff team at that) in the Asian CL. Yet 4 of the 12 Qatari top league teams are in it, a third of the league!
