2013 too, I will play with all young players for the first few seasons, move to the First Team in the future and then... who knows!

Both stories are active, but keeping them in the same thread would be chaos for me. I hope I'm not breaking any forum rules.

Hope that the new job as Academy Manager will be a great one, That's really cool! The great part is that Tanjiro has the support of his family! :TU:

It's also cool that he is a tea drinker, haha very Japanese to get together to drink tea, it feels like a J-Dorama! 🍵

Thank you so much! I've never written about a player's life off the field, but I'm really liking it! I want to make this story as Japanese as possible :D

Games are coming soon. I've been playing some exhibition games to test my players, and it's going to be tough -- after randomizing everything, my max-rated player is 69! But as an Academy, we are not facing relegation, so we can take some liberties.

Cool! It'll be great to hear about the games! You should check out a story I made about the J-League in my thread (I believe it is on page 1), with an invented Japanese team (Gunma United) managed by someone you might be familiar with: Angel Comizzo! :TU:

I'm liking the off-field stuff too, seems like Tanjiro has a "nostalgic" or "saudade" kind of personality, bittersweet with his recent retirement, I think it goes well with the Japanese background. :)

I remember Comizzo, indeed! I will check that out.

Off-field stuff here is done. I had to get to January :D I like "saudade"! He's a little conflicted with what's coming, but I think he will be okay!

Question: Are these invented players or are they the "real life" Kawasaki Frontale squad? I like the fact that they are all rated under 70! Great academy players for Tanjiro to develop. :)

All invented! I created their names with a name generator, and randomized their ages (17-20) and ratings (all under 70) via random.org. My idea is to use them for a while, build their potential, and at some point of the story (when I feel it is realistic) move Tanjiro to the first team and use a mix of real and invented players.
 
Travelling all the way to Lisbon for a preseason friendly is crazy! Maybe Manager Tanjiro should lobby with the AFC to program some friendlies in Korea or China next time! ;)
