Best evo-web memories

I thought it might be an idea to begin a thread looking back. What are your best memories of evo-web ?

I have lots of good memories. The crazy times with Joost and his Dutch friends (cosanostra and broodje gras if i remember well) and of course Dermot (glorygunner) and Cal-Neva (we had constant rows until we found out that we liked the same music and then we became buddies). I also liked the Scottish guys Frank (FD, he is still around and one of the nicest guys) and Daniêl (Classic D: i have contact with him on facebook) and of course that crazy Zico.

Now there is the football banter with people like drekkard, the special one, beachryan and lo zio. All of them people i really like to discuss with, even if we often disagree (that is what football is all about in the end: the banter).

But my fondest memory is the ML-thread. With a couple of regulars (Professor Nutmeg, my alltime favourite member, denirobob and others) we kept on writing these stories about our ML-campaigns...those things were great to read. Nowadays that thread is clinically dead....
 
I joined this site when I was 12. Glorygunner and Kilgore Trout (don't rmb his original name) were responsible for me falling in love with Irish people, I think. Some of the stuff they did with that Boro lad was probably bordering on cyberbullying but I laughed. Oh I laughed. So much so, my first girlfriend at uni happened to be Irish. She wasn't as funny though. Shame.

I also remember denirobob posting boobies a lot via his vast library of pornography. So that was nice. Thanks for the pubescent erections, friend.
 
Anyone remeber a guy called kel (I think he was called Marcel) from Hamburg? He used to make great kits for a lot of teams (this would have been over a decade ago).

My fondest memories, other than the hilarious Random thread, was the collaboration of many team members to some wonderful patches. The (earlier) pro evo's were close to perfection - but those patches just made them better. I really liked the idea of the 'Classico's' patch which brought in classic kits and players. Some of those kits were amazing.

The lowlight was when a couple of members - such as Zico - got banned. Yea, he was a bit of a nutcase, but he was entertaining. Of course, I have got no background as to why he was bannded, but it was probably justified ;-s. Maybe I am making this up, but didn't he take some video footage of PES3 and in the reflection you can see he was in his undies?

Quite a recent memory, but there was that Flores fella who was incredibly keen on football nets. That got a little weird.
 
I remember when GTA IV came out, we used to have these wacky races and melee fights. My favourite was Becanes' trademark laugh for like 20 minutes that would make everyone else laugh.

I also remember when we had the FIFA 12 tournament, I beat Tim like 3 or 4-0 and he came on the chatbox ranting about how I won.
 
Yeah Gta iv was fun, I also remember running around with Becanes it was great, the FIFA tournaments with Chris and everybody were fun aswell.....ah the good old days.
 
Were you in any of the GTA IV rooms where we had firetruck races on possibly the narrowest track? I remember one of us would drive right off the highway and we'd all just start pissing ourselves laughing. Ahh, back when I had time to play online all the time :(

Yeah we raced everything and also the cops and robbers things were fun.

I remember the days of PES3 on PC.

kEL, Spark, JJ, biker_jim_uk, daikirai, etc.

Going on holiday and having to interrupt putting new kits and other things into PES3 and spending most of the holiday reading and seeing new kits in football magazines and wondering if they'd been made yet.

I'd love it if someone, somewhere still had these kits that they could re-upload but I fear they went off the web a long, long time ago.

I must look but I'm quite sure I still have some kits from Spark and Kel somewhere. I'll have a look for them if you're interested ;)

Yeah some great threads, the Dutch lads were great as mentioned and as my Belgian friend Gerd mentioned the ML thread was awesome, the likes of Professor Nutmeg and Terry Butcher fan being involved a lot in those.

The Irish lads were fun too, Gunner and I'm sorry, but I've forgotten his username, but remember his name being Carl I'm sure it was, was funny as heck, believe he was the mastermind behind I believe Kofi Annan was it? That was some funny stuff.

Also many moons back EatonJ made a thread about how we all wiped our ass, now that was some funny shit (see what I did there?). :D

Anyone remember the the couple of tournaments i ran which were just people picking a team and me recording the CPU vs CPU games?

And Someone created one when we had a team full of ourselves with edited players looking like us :LOL:

Spent a lot of time on here back in the day and had a good laugh in the process.

WE/PES was amazing and we always had the best patch or option file when we left to show off to our mates :)
