Windows Update - Administrators Only Grrr

I am an administrator damn it!

Any else had this problem in the past and managed to fix it? I did everything it said here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316524 and it still won't work

I prefer manually updating windows rather than waiting for automatic updates.......

just a suggestion, but did you try it in safe mode with networking?

never personally had any problems (manually) updating, and like you, my laptop is setup with an administrator only account...
