windows media centre on 360

Trying to watch some divx movies from pc on my xbox 360...

Have it all setup correct, have the right folders shared too.

When i press to play the movie (even shows the title screenshot as image from film)...it disconnects me from the network and says this filetype cannot be supported!

My mate set his up today no problem, any idea anyone?
 
Can you download anything from the Marketplace?
I couldn't after upgrading to NXE (or play videos from a USB drive), and had to change some network settings for it to work.
 
If you had the media update before NXE you have to create a new profile and live account or log in to another that has a live sub and re download the codec

i had the same problem
 
Turns out that you cant watch these videos in Media Centre, but you can in xbox dash video library

Very strange!
