Downloaded the xps one fine, in the process of getting it over to pes6, the only thing that is going to be a problem is skin colours as the csv export from pes2008 editor doesn't export skin colour unlike the pes6 editor where that was kindly added by @peterc10. So changing them won't be a problem but finding them all out will be!

Wow, thank you! You worked on this for a long time, right? The game plays better than I remembered, slower and surprisingly decent defensively. I might try a ML or league soon.
Is it normal for AI strikers to completely mishit their shots inside the area, though? Even guys with great shooting like Suarez or Cavani balloon shots way above the goal. I have a tough time shooting too, but I'm new to this game, the AI is not.
Anyway I like this so much, I'll drop you a little something here.

What do you think about giving WBs the +5 STA too? That increase seems wise. I gave it to some guys and registered the as SBs to not break your system (Marcos Alonso, Jesus Navas).
@geeeeee unfortunately I can't download it from mediafire, been tryin' since days, don't know if it's my connection having problems with the site or what, since I already had problems in the recent past. hm, I noticed my file has a different name than geeeeee's. maybe rename it like that one? (54913_9370_NEW_FILE.max)
i use the emulator too and have multiple copies of the game. the first one i tried wouldn't accept geeeee's OF. maybe it's a US/EU thing?

I tried with both renaming and changing bios but it's the same. Problem is that when I put the OF in my memory card with the MMC program, it just call it "NEW FILE" in the description, despite me editing it in the Ps2 save builder program, and the game simply don't recognize it.
I'm surely missing something here, no idea what tho

what does it the ps2 save builder do? I exported the file with mymc form memory card and uploaded. was i supposed to do something else?

Ps2 save builder it's supposed to convert raw Ps2 files in emulator ones. Anyway I tried everything.. and I still can't load it.
I'm sorry to bother you again, but is there a chance you could maybe share your whole Ps2 emu, memory card file with me? As this point I'm just lost
..

@miguelfcp Not quite, but to continue the theme I'm probably looking at the horse at the moment. 
There's a few teams more in PES8 than PES6 so I've had to leave off a few Championship teams as they aren't in @geeeeee 's 72 ML teams.
I've imported the file into a pes6 option file but I've yet to load it up in game and check if it's ok. You have to rename the teams in the editor before doing an import so that the players go into the correct teams. I've kept teams that were already in pes6 in the same slot so at least they'll have their proper kits (or at least two years earlier version anyway) There's probably kitserver kits for all those teams anyway but I haven't looked at that yet.

@Chenghis.Khan heh yep it’s taken quite a while. Still have a lot to do. At the moment i am going through all the Non Aff and deleting players that are fake.
I find the CPU strikers are excellent maybe because i am on ML only on Regular though.

i hope you're right about the strikers. you have certainly played many many many more games than me.
i edited team tactics for the teams mentioned in the spoiler, adjusted the playable positions for many of their players and also updated some players in those teams with recent psd stats.
did it work?

Unfortunately not.. it still doesn't recognize the OF. Don't have the slightest idea on what's wrong..
@geeeeee I have a Ps2 but I haven't touched it in almost 10 years, I also don't have the device to transfer saves from pc to physical mmc. I'm not crazy with the general idea of putting it out of the dust, as of now I've become pretty allergic to consoles as a whole.

I'm quite sure your game doesn't recognise the option file because this one is based on PES 2008 US version. I guess you have PES 2008 Europe version, just try to download the US iso. US version has english/french/spanish langage FYI.

I practically do not play almost any other Pes game on the emu, as of now.. all the other Pes I have it on the pc, so I've never tried other OFs on the pcsx2...

Welcome back mate, I haven't posted/played much lately myself, unfortunately, hope you are fine with your RL stuff..
by the way I already had an american Iso and tried with it, to no effect.. I have no idea if there is some setting I've messed up with, or some version of the emulators I'm using maybe? I've tried both with the 1.4 and the dev one you yourself provided us with months ago..

Hmmm... This looks like a really tricky problem there... I never used this ps2 save builder, i just imported the option file as it is with MyMC tool, did you try without that ?

I tried the whole MMC that Chenghis generously upped for me, which had an OF that wasn't save builder-made, but nothing changed, so I really dunno.

Pcsx2 is probably the best emulator out there and Google is your best friend ...

Google for a setup tutorial, although their own guide works fine.
You'll need a PS2 bios file.
Setup your controller in pcsx2.
Rip your copy of pes08 to iso.
Play game.
It works fairly flawlessly on my old i7 and geforce 1060 6gb.

1. Download PES 2008 and extract the ISO file from the archive anywhere on your PC :

2. Download PCSX2 last dev build : https://buildbot.orphis.net/pcsx2/index.php?m=dl&rev=v1.5.0-dev-2872-g1b41d1901&platform=windows-x86
Extract anywhere on your PC with 7-zip.
3. Download PS2 BIOS : http://fr.dllyes.com/playstation-2-ps2-bios/
Extract the archive and copy all the content of the ps2_bios folder in a "bios" folder created inside the pcsx2 folder.
4. Run PCSX2.exe.
5. A menu with a language selector should appear. Leave it default. Just click next.
6. A menu with all plugins used by PCSX2 should appear. Leaving everything default should work, so click next also.
7. A menu related to bios should appear. Select either one US or European bios, depending on your copy of PES 2008. Click "finish". Now the PCSX2 interface should open.
8. Click System, and then "Enable widescreens patch".
9. Click Config, emulation settings, GS Window : First uncheck preset at the bottom of the screen, choose widescreeen 16:9 for the first two options, apply your own resolution and choose "standard" V-Sync.
10. In the same screen, click on speedhacks, and check MTVU, leave the rest default.
11. Click Config, video, plugin settings : Choose internal resolution 8x Native (or a lower setting depending on your computer performance).
12. Click CD/DVD, ISO selector, browse and find your PES 2008 ISO.
13. Click System, Boot ISO (full), the game should launch.
I didn't need to set up my controller (XBOX 360 controller), it was automatically recognised, maybe you will have to do it with your controller.
Take in mind, I used these settings according to my configuration which is not that great but still good :

Maybe try to reinstall pcsx2, following the steps above.
Or try to create a default option file inside the game, then extract it from the memory card with MyMC, open it with PES 2008 editor, choose the "Open OF2" option and browse to find the Geeee's option file, import everything, save and re-import into the memory card. It might work or not.

Hopefully, the best is yet to come.
I tried each one of them. Well, they have classic PS2 PES gameplay, so they're good PES as a fact. But the later ones (2008-2014) lack fouls IMO and feel a bit more arcadey (but more difficult). Honestly, i prefer to play on PS2 or PC because of the comfort, but these games are great value while traveling or during break at work.

I finished my 2nd season in ML. It has been a struggle yet again but like i said the team is clicking slowly.
