Team abbreviation not working online

My edited team abbreviation names are not working when I play online for PS3. Is there a reason why this is happening?

Online all names and stats are used of original Konami Database.
All details, names and stats of players you have edited will not be accessable in online mode!

They worked last year I know for sure. And the regular name works perfect too.

Edit: Something to do with the patch I am using. I deleted the edit file and edited a name and they work perfect online.
