Suffering from lag during online play (PES6 PC)

Hi,

I'm new to PES6 Online Play (not new to PES!). I'm getting a little bit of trouble with lag during the second half of games.
Is there anything i can do to resolve this?

No mate, it's nothing new. It's been like that for 2 years. Just look for better connections...(3 bars).

Either that or your opponent is cheating.
 
i was wondering about PES 6 online for the PC, didn't notice much on the PS2. But i'm quite new to Pes on the Pc. Purchased 2008 and still play it to this day in the vain hope that i get the odd FAIR bloody game, it's seems to be rife with lag cheats. I know the servers are bad anyway. I once left a download on in the background by accident, before i realised it was still on i noticed every ball would run in my favour.

So have all pes pc games been full of cheating little gits? Is there no way to stop this. I can guess by the dynamic's of football games any slight lag will cause problems. Is there any hope for PC pes games? Does anyone play fair? Is there/could there be a punk buster sort of program for PES made?

I may be asking obvious questions but i am new to PC games.
