My work is finally finished
I worked on champions league structure, and UEFA cup too, and on teams that will be added in every single option file.
Every option file will have 60 teams from the nation that it cames from ( so for example in the italian option file there will be enough teams to create 3 divisions) plus there will be many teams from other countries to create a propre champions league (64 teams in which 48 of them will play 2 qualifying rounds) and UEFA cup (48 more teams + 32 that will lose in the 2 qualifying round of champions league, for a total of 80 teams that will play 1 qualifying round before to arrive to the group stage).
A total of 36 european countries will be in every option files.
Bigger countries will have 10 clubs, then 8, 6, 5, and so on, till we arrive to smaller countries that will have only 1 club.
I hope i explained everything well. For now i gathered a short list of the clubs that have to be included from each of the 36 european countries but this is not important cause i think that everyone knows how to use option file editors so when they recive the first release of the tool, they can change teams alone, and choose what they like more
Now its up to the main programmers to show up, i cant do anything more, i wasnt even supposed to take part in this project :blush:
P.S. For all people from countries not included in this work, please dont kill me, dont forget that every option file has slots only for 211 teams so i cant make miracles, i tried to be honest and include teams following the UEFA ranking as closer as possible.
And again do not forget that when this tool will finally be pubblished you can always change teams with any type of option file editor.
Nice work vihn78... the number of teams seems appropriate..(except maybe for English users, because they will certainly want Conference leagues and all that...but like you said, it's not hard to adjust to everbody's 'taste')..
There's just a limitation with that...it won't be possible to have realistic teams from the second season on (on european competitions) because teams would change...but I agree that is not easy to turn around that problem...maybe just changing the OF's manually after each season if the team isn't in it.
But if you're going to do it that way, all the OF's we are gathering have to be adapted..so, maybe it would be better if we had a 'default' OF and then add those 60 teams for each league, right?
A small suggestion too...there's a OF's with all world national sides, it might be interesting for International competitions, like Euro, World Cups, African Nations Cup, Copa America and so on

Actually I don't think they are..league patches for this season were still released...what was not released was a 'superpatch' as usual.. so, I can play several leagues updated, but it's hard to find one that has all that typical teams(english, german, french, spanish, dutch plus CL)..
Anyway, is the programming so much different that doesn't worth creating a PES6 verion? Because, like it has been said, MANY people play PES6... it would just needed the program that simulates the other matches and the one to launch and retrieve results (and even that it would be possible to do it manually). So I think that you can do us all a favor (PES6 players) and take that in mind... other than that it would just be needed as much map.txt files as leagues available...it would be even easier.
I understand that it's always wanted to work on the latest version, but I really think PES2008 worths it...(I guess Juce thought the same way). Maybe you should take PES6 (with all those stadiums, kits, faces, balls and all that already created) and develop this project...then, in a few months PES2009 will be released, hopefully it will have such good graphics as 2008 but better gameplay and there will be already tons of faces created, stadiums converted...etc..
For now it just seems so logical to take what PES6 gives us, with faces/hairs/stadiums/balls/boots...and a even better gameplay..
But like I said before..I have to respect your release and I'll support it nevertheless

I don't know if you speak for Diego, who actually mentioned this project...from what I know you just a guy that became interested in this idea, just like me..no offense at all. But I prefer to wait on Diego's confirmation about no PES6 version. Especially because the justification doesn't make much sense. If the trouble was in fact, creating the programs to work with the OF and nothing more..it would be more understandable. Now, if the programmer (who started working on this by vyhn78) can do it on PES2008, I think it might be logical that he can achieve that on PES6...or at least try. Like I said I'm willing to help, and I have simply no interest on it...I don't play PES2008.. maybe those who don't play PES6 could take a look at it to see if it was worthy trying. And I mean the programmer...because in all the rest PES6 is actually more easy to edit than 2008. While faces/boots/balls, etc are a problem for 2008, we could have that on PES6 simply by changing a txt. So...some things might be easier on 2008, like chants and menus, but most of them are way easier on PES6.
Now the OFs....don't kid with me. Now I'm not even discussing if PES6 version should be tried.. Are you trying to say that PES2008 is more 'updated' than PES6?? We have millions of faces/stadiums/boots for PES6..we have leagues for all of them..I could give you OFs for leagues you will never play...besides, the OFs are the simpliest thing to do in this project. If this get released I would give you one month to see an portuguese OF with first and second division. People would work on that..Now that just don't make sense (because of the teams limitations). I want to see how long will patchers take to make all the faces PES6 have, converting all the stadiums, creating all the kits and so on... Even if some OFs were September updated, instead of January updated, that just transfering a 'couple of guys'...so please don't tell me it's about PES2008 being more updated. All big patches were released to PES6 too...check all links I've sent to diego.
I mean, you made a scottish patch...nice, good work for you...but I don't think it's right to show such intolerance, especially considering you weren't even the mentor of the project. I understand that you would like to see your patch on it...but that's so small, my friend... We're talking about thousands of PES6 players that are simply telling why this version should be tried. And answering 'OFs not updated...' is like saying 'We just don't care'...and I would have to respect that, but still, I would like to read it from Diego. No offense, again

vihn78 and nathan, thanks for the explanations.. I'm not obsessed..I feel sad because I've always wanted something like this and now it's being done on the worst game of the series. I have emails from diego from 2 years ago telling that it might be possible, I saw rikman giving up on his project..so yes, it's a little bit frustrating getting it on the only really bad game Konami gave us... But like I said, I understand what you're saying. I just thought that since most of the work for PES6 is already done (including PES6 Statistic Center), maybe the only thing that had to be created would be that simulation program.. If there's so much trouble in that, I can't really ask more from the project...but please just don't tell me that it's because PES2008 is more 'updated'. Just yesterday I went looking for league patches and some of them are exclusive released for PES6 because most people keep playing that.
