I have the same thing. My laptop has a gefocrce 7600 go with 256mb dedicated ram.
Although my screen has a 1440x900 resolution the game goes too slow on high detail.
So, i switched to 800x600 on high detail.

Game plays just a little slow with very slow replays when frameskipping is not used.
With frameskipping on the game runs a bit faster, and the replays go superfast...almost gives you motionsickness when watching them
