Strong team!

I think Russia will take 1st place in this group and can do well again like 4 years ago.

Big question is Akinfeev or Malafaev? They say Igor took a little knock/injury.

And Dzagoev or Ismailov? If fully fit, I say let's go for Alan! The future! even if Marat is one of my fav players.

Thanks you, man! We also all hope for a repeat of last year's success (task at least :P). As for the composition, then nothing is yet known, our "conservative" Dik hold until everything is secret, most likely everything will be clear only right before the match.

As for the goalkeeper, Dik stated that he does not know yet, because Malafeev and Akinfeev are equal in power and who is better is difficult to determine. But I think it will be Akinfeev, because he has NEVER been number two in the national team and most likely this tournament will be no exception, although in my opinion Malafeev has long proved that he can be number one and should give him a chance. But Advocaat is a coach and he knows better. Well wait and see. :D

As regards, Alan, and Marat, I think that first match Advocaat will release Alan, because he is a pretty major player in the team so releasing it Advocaat will eliminate the risk. But be prepared to see Marat, or a substitute against the Czech Republic or in subsequent games, in fact should also give him a chance, right? ;)

what a lovely team u guys have!!! your football against italy was an absolute thing of beauty (and probably the only good thing about that match).
sure, italy didn't give u much of a fight, but your guys were absolutely brilliant nontheless.:WORSHIP:

I think it is more than that. There are many Russian fans living in Germany who have been travelling in buses into Poland for the last 3 days, and there is a full aircraft of fans from Russia landing almost each hour in Poland. There will also be fans from Belarus and some people from Baltic nations (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania) travelling in buses and trains. I could well imagine Russia will have the most fans at the competition (apart from Poland and Ukraine as they are hosts).

Should've been 3-0 at HT. Good first half though and hopefully they won't take their foot off the gas in 2nd half.

Russia looking just as strong as we expected.

Arshavin soo good when playing in the middle of the park... good that Russia kept the same approach and hit teams on the counter so well

Yes, Arshavin in this game looks very good, is actively connected to the attack and take over the game like a true captain, who he and is. What cost his assists to Shirokov, it was fantastic. I hope he will continue to play well, because it is this Euro is his ticket to a happy continuation of his career. ;)

You know it could have been 8-1 if Pavyluchenko or Pogrebnyak had been on the pitch instead of Kerzakhov, he had.a wasteful night.

Yeah this could've been at least 6-1. Kerzhakov played quite well I thought actually in terms of being a danger with his pace, passing (remember GREAt chance for Dzagoev to score 2nd goal which he didn't!!?) and his movement.

BUT HORRIBLE finishing! If Pav had those chances, he could've had hat-trick. So I Kerzhakov still suits this team perfectly especially as Zenit player and understanding with Arshaving, Shirokov etc. but TONIGHT was very wasteful.

Well done Russia. They're just as good as we all thought if not more and once they play a little less complacent and more clinical, they can be a great match for anyone.

Wow! Russia just opened up a can of ass kicking :D

We know Arshavin is a "mood" player, and he doesn't help defense. But tonight was the example of how to use him, not like where he was playing at Arsenal. He should be given the freedom to roam the pitch like a true number 10. He was outstanding in the playmaker role tonight. That pass to Kerzhakov in the 2nd half was pure magic.

The Arsenal fans and English criticise him because he is not an all-round player who runs the entire pitch. He is a specialist but people can't acknowledge that. But you know, the English love a mediocre player with lots of heart and no brains. But in my books Andrei Arshavin is still world class.

Russia wasted too many chances, they better adjust their finishing. Because in the knockout stages against a stronger team, this cannot happen.

Dzagoev is really class! Pavlyuchenko did great coming from the bench. But what happened to Pogrebnyak? Why is he not playing? For me, he's Russias's most dangerous Centre Forward.

With him nothing had happened, he was still alive in good health (:D), just Advocaat decided that he is better now sit on the bench. Although judging by the way as today played Kerzhakov (I mean the way he squandering moments, one after another), his appearance on the field is not far off. It's even possible we'll see his is June 12 in the match against Poland. ;)

It's simple. It is the third forward in the team :))

nevermind google translator, when it comes to this subject, there's no language barrier for this guy, he's a natural.... u might even be speaking sanskrit, if u're talking about girls, the special one will know it!. infact u don't even have to talk at all... just think about a woman, and andre can feel it. :COOL:

I was very impressed by Russia yesterday. Definetely a dark horse for the championship. The counter attacks were so fluid and fast, it was amazing. If Kerzhakov wasn't so wasteful it could have 6 or 7.
